I think I got to F1, no further! But with visitors so I agree with you on that point.
Do you remember your dreams? Then you have memories of being in F2 (private non-physical place) state already, according to Frank's and also Robert Monroes (more elaborated) model of reality.
Quote from Kepple's resource (
http://www.astralpulse.com/frankkepple.html):
The key fact about engaging with F2 is that all your belief constructs will be represented in front of you in glorious 3D! As F2 is divided into many, many areas which all hold different beliefs, thoughts, memories and experiences from your life, you can engage with these belief constructs as you wish.
There are tremendous joys to be had here. Myself, I love running through all my childhood memories, for example. Anything you ever felt, saw, experienced, etc., etc., in your life, you can “relive” again within Focus 2 and in stunning detail. Absolutely anything and everything your physical senses have ever experienced, and I mean that LITERALLY, is recorded by your senses and “stored” within Focus 2, plus all your dreams too. F2 is where you do your dreaming every night so you are actually well used to this area.
(...)
I should point out that although this is your own personal area and cannot be experienced directly by others, it is still possible for someone to communicate with somebody else in an F2 state (such as a dream for example - which is just F2 with restricted awareness). Someone else from outside, say F3, can try to communicate telepathically and this communication will hopefully manifest itself in the F2 experiencer's world, perhaps even as a representation of the communicator.
Of course the 'real' OBE/AP as described by me and Laron would be then starting in F3, including F4 of course with the (rare!) mystic/unity experience of your Higher Self or of 'God' or whatever crazy stuff this All-That-Is-thing really is all about.
I suspect that dreams could be anywhere from Focus 15 to Focus 22 in Monroe's Focus Level system, but I am not sure anymore. I remember he wrote in one of his books where he put dreams into, but it is not in this list. Anyway, to compare with Frank's simpler model:

States of Consciousness and Focus™ Levels
As a result of extensive experiential and brainwave research at The Monroe Institute, a simple system of labels (called Focus Levels) was devised to indicate various states or phases of consciousness. These labels are a means of neutral identification, and are used extensively as part of the training process throughout our weekend and week-long
experiential programs.
Focus 1 – Normal, everyday waking consciousness. Completely in phase with physical matter reality. Also referred to as “C1 Consciousness”.
Focus 10 – The physical body is deeply relaxed while the mind remains conscious, awake and alert. “Mind awake, body asleep.”
Focus 11 – The Access Channel – the ultimate communication channel to all levels of awareness -mental, physical, and emotional. Opened during each
Human Plus® exercise.
Focus 12 – A state of expanded awareness while the body remains deeply relaxed and asleep.
Focus 15 – A state of No-Time. Consciousness is now far removed from physical body signals. Linear time is no longer relevant to experience.
Focus 21 – On the very edge of perception of the time/space continuum. Mind remains fully conscious and active.
Focus 22 – On the border between time/space and non-physical states of being. Comatose.
Focus 23 – The condition in which an individual may find him or herself immediately following physical death.
Focus 24 – The site of non-physical activity generated by simple or primitive religious or cultural beliefs.
Focus 25 – The expression of the major organized religious beliefs in recent human history.
Focus 26 – Here are identified certain areas, few in number, containing the structures and knowledge of various highly individual religious and other beliefs based on direct experience of self.
(Focus Levels 24 to 26 are referred to as the
Belief System Territories, and are explored extensively during the
Lifeline program)
Focus 27 – The edge of human thought capacity. The site of a way-station (not a terminus) for rest and recovery from the trauma of physical death.
Focus 34/35 – The area of the Gathering. Beings from many other locations within the physical universe are gathered here to witness the upcoming Earth Changes. First mentioned in Bob Monroe’s second book,
Far Journeys.
Focus 42 – I-There cluster consciousness.
Focus 49 – Sea of I-There clusters.
The levels he mostly used for his term of "Phasing" which is a certain technique of AP/OBEing with the underlying philosophy (shared e.g. also by Tom Campbell and many other Monroe Institute members) that you change focus to certain 'levels' but your consciousness already expands to all of these (F1 to F4). Here's his great and short explanation:
Frank Kepple himself wrote as a comparison to Monroe's model this:
Monroe's Focus C1 = my Focus 1
Monroe Focus 3, 10, 12, 15 & 21 = my Focus 2
Monroe Focus 23, 24, 25, 26 & 27 = my Focus 3
Here the comparison ends, as my Focus 4 has no Monroe counterpart.
It should be noted however, that Monroe 'met' his Higher Self (F4) and it might be F43-49 in his list, but maybe it was developed after his death because he did not all of the levels, changes were made later. There are YT vids on though were he described it sometimes as the 'I-There' as compared to the 'I-Here' (incarnated self). I also had an article on this once, one of my rare ones at Transients, you can find the video where he tells us about it there:
https://www.transients.info/2016/11/real-heaven-higher-self/
Remember however that the map is never the landscape. All those models (like any scientific model or system) are only there to give a picture of what has been found out and to 'illustrate' in theory this reality. Other models of reality also have their merits, such as the theosophic system or any older Eastern views. Just my opinion.
I agree with Sinera about the difference between AP and OBE.
This could be a misunderstanding because I did not say anything about a difference between these two so far. But I can do now, see below my answer to Laron.
just to remove any confusion, astral projection and out of body experience are the same thing.
Historically and by 'official' definition this is certainly correct. I have a personal definition though and know from other forums members that some might share it, but it is just personal and for me logical, that's why I use it that way.
OBE is for me when I am projecting to the RTZ (real time zone, according to Robert Bruce) which is 'the physical' and yes, you can see your body. I admit it only happened once for me, during my first induced OBE. I remember a lot of peculiar and exciting things about it but the strangest thing was seeing your self 'in real-time' with closed eyes while you look down floating near the ceiling of your room. Haha, you never forget that.
Astral Projection for me is when you project to an Astral Plane (hence: 'astral' used again) that can be earth-like (but not the physical) but need not be, and we know there can be countless realms in the non-physical.
It's just my little personal view, and yes, definitions my vary, words are just words, labels just labels.
What I think is happening to you is that you are just picking up on information and being shown it, similar to how dreams work and how data slips in to show us possible future events, past lives, alternative realities, etc. It could just be a lost in translation thing, but so much of what you have shared doesn't seem to be OBE or AP based.
It's been a long time since I read one of these articles but as far as I remember it I agree to what Laron says.
Given the colourful content of the stories, their apparent over-length and the high frequency of occurence, they seem to me (just speculating here) to be very interesting clairvoyant or dream-like experiences, or maybe a form of visual channelling, or visions perhaps, or sth that Glenda termed 'vision requesting' above, but definitely not OBE/APs (F3 experiences).
This is also confirmed by the fact that usual signposts or 'symptoms' were missing for me. Those elements that AP/OBErs talk about and at least most know, such as e.g. the Vibrations, The Void / 3-D-Blackness, the fear-tests (dweller at the threshold), tunnel flights, teleportings/jumps/phasings or in general a discussion of usual problems or failures including some introspection and interpretation attempts of what was experienced - or any other technicalities, such as how to do this or that and what was the result (experimenting). None of that was there.
It was actually and honestly the reason I stopped reading them quite a while ago because I concluded for myself these were no OBEs/APs - although very interesting highly spiritual experiences nonetheless of course! But I want to read about AP/OBE, it's just my passion.
These accounts seem rather like vivid, visionary and part-lucid dreams. Therefore I speculate that according to Kepple's model they could be mainly F2 (dreams, belief constructs) but of course with many 'leaks' to real insights, channellings and clairvoyant visual messages.
In case it is a storyline with tasks to be done or things to be learnt it could also be the so-called helper's simulations for soul growth. We all have them in dream-time (in F2), by the way. Me too. Mostly I or generally most of us do not remember them, so it is a great skill to remember it all in so much detail. Much respect for that!
If s.o. is interested: I remember that Kurt Leland wrote a lot about these astral / dream simulations taking place in 'private' and shielded areas (F2), they are normally guided by our helpers and can indeed, as said, be very helpful for spirtual growth. That's what it's all about. You can read his experiences in his AP log that includes "lucid dream-land" in a private astral zone - also called 'dream zone' by him. It's fascinating and lots of insights and teachings are given. His border between F2 and F3 (AP) is however more fluid it seems to me. So we have overlaps, but these overlaps and blurry lines exist anyway, as dream-to-OBE conversions also can show us.

Oops. I wrote again way too much.
