Wonderful news for sane Germans, unhappy news for the socialists and other rabid supporters of, among other debacles, the continued mass migration of muslims to Deutschland, especially the military age male types. Said types have caused to skyrocket the statistics re murder, rape, zoophilia, arson, robbery, etc. Perhaps, somehow, this shift will support appropriate change throughout Europe? One can only hope... the below video discusses the matter. (If you wish to avoid the commercial at the beginning start video at 1:12)

As a German I do not really care about elections anymore although I understand these results.

Have not been to elections for so many years now since it is all an illusion of choice created by the Deep State for me.

But yes, it is logical for me that the right-wing 'populist' push goes on since they are a substancial 'unheard' mass of people that is not content with what happened to the country by mass immigration and other more socialist or 'green' politics (that are not really green at all). And they are tired of being slandered and branded as nazis or racists or whatever the leftists want to call them. Most are certainly not racists or fascists (although we cannot exclude the possibilty that a minority of real nazis are drawn to these movements like AfD, the 'Identitarians' or Pegida).

My favourite YT channel / website called Nuoviso is also from Eastern Germany as most of the 'awake' sites/channels from Germany seem to be. The "Ossis" (by nickname, meaning "Easterners / Easties" as opposed to "Wessies / Westerners") are far more aware of what happens to the country and far more critical than the still dull and rather inert Westerners who are far too intimidated by (leftist) political correctness. The Ossies (at least the now older generations) however remember what it is like to live in a (socialist) system that disallows dissent and deplatforms or even persecutes 'thought crimes' which is anything that goes against the offical state/mainstream narrative. They brought down a socialist system in 1989. Wish they could do it again but I have my doubts, but this is their kind of resistance by using the voting system (next to Pegida rallies, etc.).

I spent my middle two years of undergrad in Munich quite a while ago and while there visited Italia on several occasions - never got as far south as Roma, but greatly enjoyed Venezia. A wonderful land with very charming folks...

Funny thing happened about 4 years ago. I went to Italy, my parents home town with my brothers (I'm the oldest of seven boys} I haven't spoken conversational Italian in about 20 yrs. I was terrified I wouldn't be able to speak the language. As soon as I hit Rome It came back as if I never stopped speaking it. I guess you never lose a language.
