As the quarter Moon begins today issues emerge that require taking action or making adjustments which in turn can bring some conflict, but its also a stage of building which is a positive thing. Things are beginning to take off and gain momentum. This is a time for action, not for too much contemplation or reflection. This happens with the Moon in Libra which is also good for mediating and negotiating, gaining a balance with the new energies flowing in with the absolute yards of new information which is not all useful and will need a lot of filtering.
The presence of Asbolus is again strong being conjunct with Mercury at around 28 Gemini, so near the critical degree 29 degree mark again, meaning is a fated place, cathartic in its meaning, so this is very important for communication and also secrets that have been kept. Asbolus is very tied in as it is with privacy – to the point of exaggerating personal boundaries to withhold information which says a lot at present with media coverage of certain news items being exaggerated to cover other more important matters going on behind the scenes. Asbolus also tells us to look at the story that birds have to tell us through their symbolism when they turn up unexpectedly as this centaur could predict the future from the flight of birds.
He also has a need to be totally overprotective to the point of drawing more attention to himself that he would have if he had been more open. But the main message from Mercury is to keep our eyes wide open so we don’t miss the obvious around us by paying too much attention to the distractions. I'm sure Geminis or those with a strong Gemini influence in their life patterns will notice some most unusual phenomena around this time, but again people with planets or points near that degree in any sign are likely to as well.
All of this is exacerbated by Mercury having been square to Neptune in Pisces, a rather secrecy and sensitive aspect which speaks of possible deception and the keeping of secrets, although this on the higher levels can be a place of high intuition and psychic “seeing” as well. Pisceans are having some unusual breakthroughs and messages from the great beyond at present , probably many feeling rather otherworldly in fact and Geminis too, but anyone can feel these energies if they are tuned into other spheres. This is a time of hidden messages and unusual happenings. As well as the above Mars is at 21 degrees Leo squaring Uranus in Taurus which I associate with unusual or accidents or incidents relating to public transport, which could be planes or trains or trucks, even ships with Neptune so prominent and Saturn in Pisces, but also a need for fast action and quick reflexes. It is a day for Leos and Arians, Taureans and Aquarians to take extra care, some finding they have to make a sudden change of direction. So there is quite a bit of excitement around astrologically at present.
Tomorrow Mercury will be quincunx Pluto at 29 degrees bringing a chance to dig deep and make sure all the available information has been researched well and taken note of even the not so nice bits as this is an aspect of deep thinking and making sure nothing has been missed before Mercury moves into Cancer for the coming two weeks or so. Mercury in Cancer will calm the mind a little and help us practice emotional intelligence which is quite different to the Gemini intelligence which is based on facts and figures, quick thinking but also sorting through far too much information. Mercury in Cancer will take more care and bring a need to protect our security zones and that of loved ones, being fully aware of how important it is to safeguard our feelings by being more discriminating in our approach to the information we are seeking or being given from outside sources. We will be more able to filter out what we don’t need and close off when necessary in the days ahead so we can have some peaceful family and relationship times , not spread ourselves too thin. This begins with the Moon in Libra and then the following day in Scorpio when there could be even more protective instincts moving in to maintain our safety and protection from outside forces.
