I am curious to see who else uses essential oils & what your experiences have been. Has anyone tried to stimulate the pineal gland w frankincense?
I have used peppermint as well, but I worked on conditioning my brain to stop headaches when I apply lavender. Peppermint cools my scalp and also works.Ah, yes! They are good for aromatherapy, cleaning, & wearing as they have therapuetic uses. I usually diffuse mine. Also will put peppermint on my temples to relieve headaches. They have so many uses.
Lavender is one of my favorites. I use it for teething, breaking fevers, ant bites, & relaxation. I will have to try it on headaches--thank you.I use essential oils extensively. Daily. My very close friend is an aromatherapist. I have different regimens for varying issues. I have spent time at my friend's home and inhaled over 300 oils. Not in one day.
She named my current regimen, "Completion of Lost Things." This is for multiple agendas.
I have Frankincense. I have not used it to stimulate the pineal gland.
For the record, essential oils have helped me many times. It seems miraculous. I find them to be a pleasure except for Spikenard, which I have a hard time using because of its strange fragrance.
I am about to use lavender for my headache.
However, I am an elder and thankfully have no worries with labor. Other worries, absolutely. Currently, I am in creative labor.Lavender is one of my favorites. I use it for teething, breaking fevers, ant bites, & relaxation. I will have to try it on headaches--thank you.
Don't use it while in labor or it could prolong it, unless halting labor is desired due to early labor. I learned that the hard way, before learning about therapuetic effects!
Hello,I have recently started using them, after having a recurring cold for almost 3 months. Was recommended to rub a thrives blend on and all around my toes. It worked in one day, so I did used it again, my cold disappeared. Then I used frankensence and lavender on my neck for headache and weaknesses caused by using to much amoxicillin, it is working also!
I am trying to find something that works for failing kidneys, anyone know anything?
Thanks!
I used to use peppermint against ants in Thailand. It disrupts their ability to communicate through smell and they will move away from it.I use Lavender every night on my scalp to relax, use tree tea to make homemade cleaner, peppermint with water in to prevent mice and eucalyptus to inhale to fight cold and congestion.
That's funny, Now I know why I am not seeing ants in the house in the last week. I had done an application of peppermint around all corners.I used to use peppermint against ants in Thailand. It disrupts their ability to communicate through smell and they will move away from it.
OK Mandy, so I guess you like the aromatherapy oils then. I do too actually. Have you tried organic hyssop for clearing chesty coughs? A few drops in a hot drink and voila.I have been using essential oils since 1999 in all aspects of my life. They have become a way of life with my family. We use them to aid in physical, emotional, and spiritual health. I love blending oils to create a synergy that amplifies each oil. I love love love them.
I have not tried hyssop, but I will seek it out and try it. I love trying new oils! I've fallen in love with Melissa for any chest congestion that comes up.OK Mandy, so I guess you like the aromatherapy oils then. I do too actually. Welcome to the Roundtable Mandy.
I have Melissa tea bags......Melissa is also wonderful for people who are passing on as it holds the etheric energy of being eternal. Lemon Balm as it is also called, is a member of the mint family and you can't kill it. There is a wonderful book about the etheric nature of oils and their properties. Hang on, let me see if I can find it on the net.....it is not the one I had but it is similar:I have not tried hyssop, but I will seek it out and try it. I love trying new oils! That sounds great Vickie....how do you make tincture then?I grow fresh mint and make mint tincture which I try to keep on hand because it takes a few month to make good strong tincture. Then I buy unscented lotion and mix some mint tincture, tea tree oil and bergamot in the lotion. This smells really good but it also keeps mosquitos away. When I lived in North Arkansas ticks were a real problem and it kept those off too.
Here's how to make tincture. I always use vodka as the solvent base since it has no smell. That sounds great Vickie....how do you make tincture then?
Thank you! I just downloaded it. I'm excited to read it. I love learning more about the etheric properties of oils. I've used them intuitively but haven't had much for reading about the etheric properties.I have Melissa tea bags......Melissa is also wonderful for people who are passing on as it holds the etheric energy of being eternal. Oh I could devote myself to the oils and just study them all day.
Many many thanks Vickie. I want to make a tincture of the lemon balm we have in the garden, also some of the water mint which is very strong. So I will get some vodka and use that. Ooooh you are a star! Here's how to make tincture. I always use vodka as the solvent base since it has no smell.
