Here is a dream I had on October 14, 2015, along with my interpretation of it a day later. It may be of benefit for those who have similar dreams that involve a lot of water, and or caves and tunnels, or simply like to learn about the functioning of dream symbology and interpretation, which I provide as a service as I've been doing it for so long that I felt it was time for an energy exchange.
Experiencing Death
I was with another person as a passenger in a car, going down a tunnel. We emerge from the other side and then we are walking. I look around and see a very high wave of water coming our way. I feel a tad worried and we start running in the other direction, but soon after, there are walls of water from north, south, east and west — there is nowhere to go. (The waves are probably around the height of a 120 story building)
I accept the situation and that I cannot get away. The feeling is so real though, like it was actually happening and I was facing death.
I head purposefully towards one of the waves. The wave is more like a wall of water that moves slower than a tsunami would. My body is not really impacted in the way I expected by the water, as it’s like I am moving through a barrier of energy or some dimensional wall and I feel strange sensations throughout as I make my way through to the other side.
After a short pause of nothingness, on the other side, everything is very dark; it is like I no longer use eyes but I am perceiving everything from a totally different perspective. There are other beings there, and I think I am guided somewhere, as I wonder what to do from that point on. I soon wake up after that.
My Interpretation
The tunnel likely represents exploring an aspect of my subconscious and possibly opening myself up to a new awareness around something. The tidal waves would probably refer to a situation(s) around overwhelming emotions which I need to address, or have been through.
When looking back and playing out the dream; I entered through my subconscious, ran into a situation that brought up feelings, faced it, accepted it, got through it without being swept away, and emerged on the other side with a new perspective.
I can relate this to a recent situation, but I do find the dream interesting from another angle as I always wondered what I would do when facing a real tsunami and if I would stand on the beach waiting for it, (i.e. Téa Leoni style in Deep Impact) or try and run away even if I knew I wouldn’t make it.
It was also interesting to see what was on the other side. It did remind me a bit of conscious astral projection experiences I've had.
