Believe it or not, we have vineyards and wineries in Texas, and at different times of the year, there are van tours through our "wine country". It has become a thriving business.

However, some are having serious troubles thanks to chemical over-spray from nearby farmers. Some of the growers believe that another 1 or 2 seasons like the last one will put them out of business. Additionally, these toxic sprays that kill everything except the engineered seeds, are expanding to areas near orchards, which include the mighty pecan industry (pecans are the state tree of Texas). The wine growers now have their own lobbyists and will be working with the legislators in the next session.

I recall reading in one of the predictive reports that chemical spraying will get more attention this year. Although they were talking about chemtrails, this sounds like something that might be along the same lines. It might be time to revamp the "Just say no" campaign.

I find information like this very helpful to me, as it acts as a reminder to be mindful of such sprays.

Last year when I was living in Motueka, New Zealand, I was located in a rural area where the apples grew in orchards. On a regular basis they would come along with their tractors and spray everything, and the spray would come past the house/bach, right in the window. It was not healthy spot to live, even though it was surrounded by fruit trees.
