Today Venus conjuncts Sedna at 29 degrees Taurus which happens to be the position of the Pleiades star system.
There are many different stories of the legend involved but most agree that after seven years of being pursued by Orion, a Boeotian giant, the 7 beautiful daughters of Atlas were turned into stars by Zeus for their protection . Orion became a constellation, too, and continued to pursue the sisters across the sky .
This star system is accompanied by sorrow but also feminine power.
Another fixed star which is the centre of the Pleiades is at 0 degrees Gemini, very close and has a meaning of ambition, honour and glory BUT problems with the opposite sex, so I am sure both meanings have relevance and help balance out a little when looking for the meaning, especially as Venus is now moving into Gemini as I write this.
Venus with Sedna on this point of 29 degrees which is now passing is bound to bring some mixed feelings including sadness as there is much symbolism at present of passing from one state to another , as there always is when planets trigger the last degree of a sign.
In the legend Sedna was betrayed and killed by her father. But she became an immortal, the goddess of the ocean, a caretaker for the planet and she did not allow her misfortunes and abuse to deter her from her need to love and provide for her people .
Sedna is basically about expanding our consciousness and rising above hardship. There has been much transformation and a letting go for all of us with Pluto changing signs and most of us are in an adjustment period which takes its toll, but any sense of loss is mingled with a great sense of anticipation and excitement.
Venus the Goddess of love, with Sedna in the last degree of a sign and on a fixed star position is bringing forth the feminine power within all of us no matter which the gender we are, reminding us that when we feel persecuted or extremely sad about the harshness or cruelty of people or life itself, and maybe like giving up there is always a way upwards again, an answer which may come from within or it may come from spirit, from nature, our own higher self or an angel who appears in human form to help us create miracles which are always needed in this time we live in.
Venus moving to Gemini today brings more love, gifts and attention to Geminis of course, with Libran or Taurean type people to interact with. Venus should have a grounding effect on Geminis.
For Taureans and Librans being Venus ruled, it will bring more social contacts and the company of Gemini type people more than likely, plenty of communication.
For the rest of us it will bring a bit of both especially in the areas of our lives that are ruled by Gemini, solar and natal. Its my solar home zone and my natal work/health sector.
Venus in this sign is definitely more sociable and talkative, bright and witty, at her best, but perhaps a bit too gossipy or focused to much on her mobile phone, a little scattered emotionally maybe so staying centred is something we can be mindful of.
Today Venus is also trine to Pluto so that’s a meeting of souls as well as minds for sure at 0 degrees Aquarius and Gemini . This could be quite inspiring for many of us especially those born near that degree or having planets or points there.
Scorpios and Aquarians, Librans and Taureans, Geminis too are in this mix,
The Moon now in Sagittarius is activating most of us , bringing a sense of adventure and need to get out and about when we can.
Im noting Uranus is conjunct Juno at 17 Taurus, a strong contact that could stir the senses and bring some strong attractions, unexpected meetings, or reactions when we do meet someone. This is a warning not to jump into anything too soon and to keep our wits about us if there are danger signs. It’s a bit like stranger danger in one aspect of its meaning and has a little shock value to it as well but doesn’t have to be a bad thing, just different to what we expect.
Maybe those affected will have a light bulb moment to whats really going on with a certain person. Naturally Aquarian types and Taureans could be affected by this one.
Neptune is opposing Ceres 26 degrees Virgo and Pisces . For both signs this could bring a confusing situation where we are called on to use our intuition more than usual. It does remind us to love unconditionally and not to analyse too much whatever meaning this has.
Tomorrow any of todays failings or foibles will be made up for with the lovely Sun/Jupiter conjunction at 21 degrees Aries , a lovely fire aspect bringing renewed enthusiasm and motivation plus a good deal of good old fashioned luck to someone of us. Those born near this sign degree especially so.
This is a good chance to put plans into action even though it is a little impulsive energy wise.
It should be an action packed day for Aries and Sagittarians.
A warning is not to rush too much as you could be accident prone despite the positives of this aspect. It actually contains a LOT of speed.
So perhaps we all should buckle our seatbelts as well, as this one is global with the Sun involved and it IS getting closer to that last black moon New Moon /eclipse.
There is bound to be at least one world leader who makes a rather bold and brave move that really pays off, for them at least. Luck and courage abound with this aspect.
A contact with Sun and Pallas DOES show a calculated risk will bring success for those who are influenced by this powerful aspect.
