I was cleaning my desk and found this poem I wrote after our beloved dog, Emmitt, passed.

The Special Ones pass through our lives, and if fortunes smile, stay awhile.
They change our day with a bark or a woof, a grin or a lick.
They sit with us, bearing silent witness to our sorrows.
They dance in circles, celebrating our joys.
They share their wisdom and teach us love.
They are the angels who walk among us.

That's so sweet and true. Nobody is ever more happy to see me than my Henry. He know when I'm tired, happy or sad. He never holds a grudge and he always loves me unconditionally. He's very special like your Emmit was. Our lives are truly changed by these special fur friends.
