We've moved this discussion to a separate post so that the information can be found easily in the archives and hopefully we will continue adding to this thread. The conversation began on another thread
some neat new techniques with qhht

The following comments are from that post.

Hi everyone, It's called surrogacy work and is not new. It's been used in hypnosis with clients who are not able to comprehend for themselves, e.g severely mentally challenged patients, animals, children, very ill people etc. Dr Shakuntala Modi a psychiatrist writes about this method.

All energy is non-local fields of information or vibrational frequencies. A surrogate can access the information of others by energetically tapping into their energy fields. This is known in shamanism as 'entering the landscape' of another person. In a less deep way we can enter the reality through the conscious mind feeling empathy and imagining 'as if' we were experiencing life through the filter of another. This form of empathy uses the mental subtle body, However during hypnosis or any altered state we can physically feel what the other feels. We do not possess them but we 'see' or view the world from their unique perspectives, by simply engaging with an energy duplicate of them. We do not transfer our energy in any way, we simply access the information that is held in their matrix or energy fields. Those individuals who considered themselves to be empaths in their day to day life would benefit from being grounded into their physical body so that they are not in a state of consciousness where they are enmeshing their energy with those of others which will usually have a considerably felt impact on them which can become very draining. This is not what is involved in being a surrogate for another person. It is our consciousness that accesses consciousness through the filter or software programming of another to find information pertaining to the questions asked. It is not our physical personality but our higher collective consciousness that is already connected to the totality of humanity.

When undergoing surrogate work we assist with healing through understanding what is occurring to the person on whose behalf we are helping. This is no different from using our state of consciousness to see through the eyes of another and is another form of remote spiritual healing.

One of my most fascinating spontaneous happenings in a session was with a mother of an autistic son. She began accessing the world from his perspective and it was fascinating to listen to the things he had to tell her about her life.

When healing or therapy is done for a client, through or with the presence of a surrogate, without the client having to be physically present.

Either another trained therapist or someone who is mentally and emotionally close to the client, can become a Surrogate. The Surrogate “becomes” the client and participates in the healing process through the subconscious mind. When the connection is felt through the subconscious space the Surrogate feels the client’s feelings, remembers important incidents and tunes into root causes of traumas and blocks.

Though clients are physically not present during this “remote” work, they feel significant shifts in their energies. They not only feel differently about themselves, for the better, but people around them also sense this shift and start responding to them differently.

Surrogate Therapy works very well for young children, who need to heal past life traumas. It is also used effectively for the old and infirm, and for people who cannot travel for physical, emotional or medical reasons.

When I suggested that I could share the steps to do this during hypnosis, Vickie suggested that I do, so they follow below in another comment
Here it is in a nutshell:

I find that when we cover all the bases about the whys, when, how, and what fors, that we then increase the chances for permanent success or depth of information provided.

A) It's been found in some cases that surrogate work can be much more effective and lasting if permission is first asked of the persons higher self or soul. Sometimes there is a need for further learning or experiencing of - or through - the existing 'problem', and it may be suggested to do the healing session in the future if not immediately.

B) What we have found to be helpful is to have a 'diagnosis' of what the problem is, and what is needed to ensure success, and, the time frame to bring this about. The diagnosis often covers the cause, the reasons, and the learning provided by the ailment, disease or existing concerns. Which is no different to when we are working on any individuals healing with the SC's input.

3) Of course love can be given and received at any time, so if permission is not given from the soul, you'll find the soul is always receptive to love.

4) Just because the client says the healing is done does not mean it is so, we have to check this from different angles to gather more information. I find it best to cover all the bases which would include; what does the client who the surrogate is helping need to do to ensure the efficacy of the healing. Perhaps this might involve dietary changes or some other way that they can participate in their own healing.

Here is an example of surrogate work / remote healing during hypnotherapy. I also know of QHHT practitioners who do this work exclusively. The hypnotherapist below details the process on his website, and seems quite similar to how Edgar Cayce worked.

Remote Healing Hypnotherapy

Bypassing the critical mind, Tracy Martin can access the client remotely and does the work at the subconscious level.

Please note:
Bypassing the conscious mind, these sessions give a clear awareness of what is going on with an individual. The purpose is healing, for everyone concerned. However, remember we cannot make a person do what deep down they have decided to not respond to. As powerful as these sessions are, the person asking for the sessions may not like what they will discover as it sheds light to situations and almost every time brings relief and greatly improve attitudes.

These sessions are performed with two clinical hypnotherapist working as team, one as the therapist and the other as the surrogate.

These healing sessions are only made for the benefit of every one concerned. One can find out how come a person will not fall in love or do something. Requesting a session to make a person change their mind will simply not work.
  • One or more photos of the person for who the session is for, with the age of the person when the photo was taken
  • In detail, your reason for requesting the session.
  • When there is a health problem, the medical help sought and the results.
  • The person’s full name and date of birth.
  • Where is the person at present time.
  • Your name and where to mail the recording.
