What a shaman sees in a mental hospital based on the West African cultural beliefs of Malidoma Some has been circulating around the internet for a number of years now. Finally we have some scientific evidence to match what indigenous cultures know and understand.

This very interesting video presentation by Dr. Joseph Polimeni looks at 'psychosis' in a new light and shows the benefits of having 'bouts of madness' from a shamanic perspective.
