VHF radio signals, around the arctic circle, are beginning to echo from Earth's upper atmosphere. This is a phenomenon called Polar Mesospheric Summer Echoes.
This is an indicator that ice is crystallizing around the pecks of debris of meteors, forming the first noctilucent clouds of summer in the northern hemisphere (as it's winter in the southern right now). Shortly their electric-blue tendrils could be visible to the naked eye in the skies of northern countries at night.
