I haven't heard the term over-self before so I'm not quite sure what you mean.
There are different aspects and levels of our fuller consciousness. So when we use the word soul, it can have different meanings; it's all about how a single individual understandings the label applied to things.
An example is God. God to me means source and source is you, me, everything that exists as energy. God is not a single individual or being. God is not someone I will report to and be judged by, as that is me and my higher self. Certainly there are beings on a council that go over our decisions in life, in relation to having multiple lives within the Earth School and providing advice on how we could have acted differently, but outside of that, what's important is how we perceive ourselves and what our intentions are with what we do.
Two of the more important aspects is the over-soul and our higher self. The over-soul can be thought of the next level up, beyond here, and beyond the astral planes one goes to first after death. It's got enough energy to split it's consciousness into three simultaneous existences, but that of course depends on the existence as if the existence doesn't require too much consciousness, it may be more than 3. But I don't feel that it would be having an experience as a stone on a riverbed, and at the same time a human life, as I feel there is a somewhat linear path when it comes to soul progression. You could think of having a star seed Pleiadian existence right now, and this one right now, as an example.
The over-soul has a part back in the spirit world, and helps to plan our lives and update our soul contract as we go along. When I say spirit world, I mean the spirit center — the place associated with managing the various roles a single individual soul can take up in relation to going off on journeys and having experiences, but also resting in-between experiences.
The higher self is a much larger consciousness combined of many over-souls, but is still you. Robert Monroe had some great info about that in his book, Ultimate Journey. We have a thread up on the forum about this topic... where is it.... I couldn't' find it.
I could go on and on about this, but this is the purpose of existence, basically; returning to higher self and then source by growing spiritually and becoming aware that we are very powerful beings that can go back there at anytime — it's just we may have some more work to do before going back permanently. The thing is, you have to think why would you want to return there permanently anyway, as it's a collective consciousness where if you are an individual you can go off to planes, worlds, realms, spaces, locations, etc and have very interesting experiences. One may get bored back at a large collective consciousness.
I am drawn to talk to you about this more in a private setting. Do you still have facebook messenger?
A strange question! I have facebook and have had facebook since 2007? (I think ), and anyone who has facebook has messenger. So I guess the answer is yes! You should still be on my friends list. But I'm on the Forum here much more than I am on Facebook so you could private message me on here anytime. I'm more accessible over email though as that's where I do most of my communication. I'm on Skype as well (contact details listed on my site in my signature).
Laron, do you have a more detailed write-up of this experience anywhere here (so far I missed it if it already exists)?
It was in a dream journal I chucked out earlier in the year. I have written it up but I don't know where I wrote it electronically. It's a memory that has faded. I remember a bridge, seeing my current soul aspect now (writing this) standing there on that bridge from the perspective of my higherself when in control of it and then having that feeling of parts of me being missing and knowing this one now is one that will return.
I plan to have more experiences before I pass and will do a better job at keeping a record of them.
