We've been unhappy with the price of our internet and basic cable provider (ATT). We still need basic cable for local stations because we are in the hill country, which makes reception iffy. Along comes Spectrum (bought out Time Warner) with a great deal and better internet speed. I read the info, talked to a rep, and decided to make the switch.

The new installation required coax cable for the main TV and the modem/router. Ok, so 2 holes in the house and the cable attached to the eaves. All the work took about 2 hours. After the tech had everything installed and was going over the how-to, he mentioned that we had 5G and 2G. I was stunned. Nothing anywhere said anything about 5G. Also, the city's draconian permitting process forced one of the companies to leave Austin. So, we don't have 5G, right?

Wrong!

5G is available through providers using coax. I brought up my concerns, but he said as long as we don't connect to the 5G, it will not be emitting the waves. I thought it sounded fishy, but got distracted with half a dozen other things that popped up. Fast forward to later in the evening. My head was throbbing - I'm very irritable - our dog went into the walk-in closet. The lightbulb went off, and I disconnected the whole setup. I started feeling better in a bit and much better today, although I feel a little beat up.

Fortunately, we had not cancelled ATT, so we still have service. Spectrum has a 30-day money back offer, if you are not happy with the service. Yes, they will get their equipment back along with some carefully chosen words.

While running a few errands this morning, I noticed a commercial van with big letters touting 5G service for commercial and residential places. I know I'm more sensitive than many, but that was an extreme reaction. My first thought was about children - I know how it made me feel - I felt so messed up, angry, uncomfortable - even ready to punch someone in the nose.

Thanks for sharing that. That's interesting about the technology side of things.

This is good.

We have a national election on today. It felt good to write: "Say No to 5G" on my ballot form.

My actual comment on the big form was: "The grid of 5G permeates all biodiversity with excessive, damaging electro-magnetic radiation. Say No to 5G." On the smaller senate form I just wrote the Say No statement.

I feel as though I'm at an outpost in the wilderness. Very intelligent people around me do not know anything about 5G. How can this be?

Here are some things that I say.

Some people will say I'm just being a silly old lady, but then they can't show me any evidence that it has been tested. I've looked and looked and cannot find anything about testing and safety - only people saying it is Ok. Show me some actual evidence - not from a provider - and I'll shut up.

There are cities in Europe that have either outright banned 5G or banned it around schools and child care facilities. Why did they do that?

The military uses microwave emitters to disperse crowds. When they fire them at a crowd, the people feel like they are burning and run away.

I know I'm more sensitive than many to things like processed food, but you might think of me as the canary in the coal mine.

Bloody hell, what a sneaky way to install it.

5G and glyphosate are my two main hates. And I mean hates because they are anti life!

Here is a FOIA package you can send to your local council/city. Just enter the name of the council/city in the spaces. I have done it for Dumfries though not sent it yet. They are not going to know what hit them.

Thanks for the links, Pod.

Gee, you'd almost think some people are trying to kill and maim the people. Oh, wait......

Looks like I have a new crusade.

Do you know what kind of mountain I'm looking at? This is big tech city - Google among others have a headquarters here, and Austin is known as Silicon Hills.

There are no state or city laws about 5G or any other G. There are only restrictions on the placement of antennae. The FCC (national level) controls the G level, and they've opted to green light 5G without any research on the effects on people, plants, and animals.

I remember a discussion around a table about 5G. It was all about how amazing the bandwidth and capabilities for tech hookups would be.
Not a word about health.
And this was not a crowd empty of health oriented people. Jeesh! What happened to test first, decide if it's safe and then install?!?

Reminds me of Jeff Goldblum's line in Jurassic Park about cloning the dinosaurs - everyone was so excited about if we could do this, but no one asked if we should do this.

Gosh don’t we have to constantly be on our guard, the Bs will slip 5g into home somehow it seems.
Well, Linda, your experience could well help us all, keep us all on our toes, ready for any crap they try to feed us.

It’s really unsettling to hear the almost instant effect it had on you, without even being connected.
My understanding is that the intention is to roll this out making a grid completely covering the earth, everything will be connected to it, there will be no escape.

Thankfully there does seem to be a degree of resistance to it now the public and some governments are questioning its safety.

In my searching, I've not found a group here fighting 5G, although I did find one about smart meters. There is a group in San Antonio, so I may contact them and see what they are doing.

Here are my thoughts. Given the make-up of this city, there is no way to stop 5G. However, my idea is to keep it out of neighborhoods and public places where children might gather, such as parks. Keep it away from schools and child care centers, as well as demand that every company installing it provide info about the lack of testing and unknown effects on people, plants, and animals prior to installation.

Or not, if some of us have a say in this and I believe we do.

Yes, I've heard about some smart meter protests, some of which bore very concrete fruit. Some were organized, others less so.
In a wise world, the canaries in the coal mine will be heeded and honoured as human detectors of some of the more subtle stuff. I believe we have had cultures which do this so it must be doable to get there again.

There is another potential issue with 5G - interference with weather forecasting.

Currently, 4G cellphone technologies provide roughly 100 megabits per second (100 million bits per second) of communication speed, while the proposed 5G service could achieve 10 gigabits per second (10 billion bits per second). Downloading movies and animations would be much quicker, with hardwired connections becoming less critical for most uses.
But to achieve such service one needs a larger communications highway, which means the use of more of the electromagnetic spectrum. Electromagnetic energy, such as radio, microwaves, and visible light, are characterized by ranges of wavelength and frequency. The use of these wavelengths is controlled by our government, which can auction off specific frequency/wavelength bands.

So the FCC, without considering how the others are using the spectrum, blindly auctions off use of a section adjacent to that used for weather forecasting. The reason this is important is because of the way in which the forecasting works. The satellites sample the small differences in microwave radiation emitted by water vapor. With this information, a 3D picture of what is going on can been built. Is it important - think about hurricanes and typhoons.

Channel 1 is at 23.8 GHz. The problem is that the FCC has sold off 24 GHz, which is very close to 23.6 GHz. And if the 5G transmitters aren't very high quality, with little spread to neighboring frequencies, they could well interfere with the microwave weather satellites.
Why? Because the weather satellite have very, very sensitive receivers because they are trying to sense the weak microwave emissions of atmospheric water vapor. These sensors could be overwhelmed by the active TRANSMISSION in nearby wavelengths by thousands of 5G cell tower transmissions or other sources.
NOAA, NASA, and U.S. Navy are quite concerned about this issue, with the Navy writing a strong statement of the potential harm. On Thursday, NOAA Administrator Neil Jacobs warned of a potential loss of 1/3rd of current forecast skill. These warnings need to be taken seriously.
The key now is to have close coordination between the FCC and NOAA/NASA/DOD, as well as other international players, to ensure that spectra close to the weather observing frequencies are not used and, if there are, investments in high-quality transmitters, with effective filters, are required by law.

That last sentence really caught my eye because what is being placed in homes and on lampposts are those small low quality transmitters. My conclusions - we are surrounded by greedy people looking for the next dollar and idiots who could not think their way out of a paper bag. However, there are plenty of stories of people standing up, speaking out, and making a difference. So, onward we go.

I've been doing some reading on microwaves (not 5g) and what I read mentions that it can interfere with the production of certain chemicals. We know that some pathways to make certain hormones can have 10 steps or more and if any of those steps are interfered with, you have problems. Now add in the fact that glyphosate binds to minerals before the body can use them, and we have major problems. All kinds of hormones will not get made and the body gets more and more sick.

If anyone tries to tell me that electromagnetism isn't important to our bodies I just remind them that our hearts emit a wide field which can be measured with electrocardiograms like the one your doctor might do for a heart attack.

The HeartMath folks do great work with this. They show things like how loved ones coming together can come into 'coherence' of their rhythms which is easy to see when the demo it. I'm sorry I don't have a link to this handy but I do recall it being very clear visually on a recording they made.

I also recall that a dog had this effect very strongly when meeting its human<3

I was just listening to a show today on this very issue. He discusses G5 in many of his programs, some are laden with information.

Did you know 26,000 scientists and doctors have written papers on the negative and detrimental effects of G5 on all life?
10,000 of those papers were presented to the United Nations and some to our own Congress as early as 2010!

I'm sorry to say mainstream news these days is as useful as propaganda sheets dropped out of bi-planes. They give us nothing but what they are paid to tell us.

My own research has come up with nothing yet to aid us against G5, its just not the same thing as G4 or G3 or G2 -- its a whole new beast nothing like previous generations at all. If this actually rolls out world wide we can say goodbye to life as we know it. Trees, insects, birds, children....there's nothing about this which anyone with a scientific back ground who is NOT on a special interest payroll, has to say which is good. Not one good thing. Many are calling it an Extinction level event.
It's possible the human race will win the totally uncoveted and infamous Darwin Award.

I’ve read about this before, CrystalSong, Thankyou for posting, I just wonder how many folk will see this info.
We on the RT take notice and probably many other on other sites, but are there enough, there seem to be so many who simply don’t believe it, and I’m thinking most likely won’t until it’s too late.

You can’t really blame them, they’ve been brainwashed, dumbed down, lied to, told one thing then another, totally confusing the issue.
Those with a vested interest are determined to roll it out worldwide, although what they will get out of their investment once all life on the planet is exstinct I don’t know.

There seems to be a few crazies right at the top of the pyramid who don’t care about the consequences.
I have read that these ones are not from this planet, that they don’t give a damn what happens, if they kill the planet they simply take off to find another one to take over and ruin.

I’m not religious but I think there are seeds of truth in the bible, and I seem to remember when speaking about the end times, it says, “ Unless those days are cut short no flesh will survive. “
Interesting to contemplate how those days might be cut short.

I figure there is a reason this issue dropped in my lap. I've fought the city twice before and have learned a few things. The most important is that no one is moved by outrage. If they are going to be engaged, it will be through sincere, well-spoken people. In this case, it will be the mothers who will lead the way. I saw this yesterday when speaking to a mom I've known for some time. She was bewildered with a layer of simmering anger. Yep, don't mess with mama bears.

In many ways, we are at ground-zero because this city is a high-tech hub, with many, many companies and people in this sector. You know, I don't want to get involved in this issue. I just want to live my happy life and lead field trips at the farm. Yet, here I am. What can I bring to the table - good organization and research abilities, lots of contacts, and a sincere belief we each have a right to a good life free of the machinations of big business.

On another note - I posted the info about potential disruption of the weather forecasting band because the US Navy, NASA, and national and international weather forecasting agencies are concerned. Should this turn out to be an issue, I figure the military will have a loud voice in the matter. At the same time, cities and companies will have invested substantial time and money in the 5G network, which could then be shut down. That would be a painful lesson and perhaps cause cities, at least, to be more cautious. It is a long shot, but one that could work in our favor.

I know the Mayor of my town (which is really just a few suburbs in the greater area of Perth) has recently been to Japan on an all-expenses paid "fact-finding" mission to turn this place into a "Smart" city.

Self-serving, money-grubbing, egregious miniature of a man.

I'm getting into this while reading "Matrix 3" by Val Valerian. He was speaking out against microwaves which are used to transmit cell phone signals. He illustrated that over the years the US gov't has been a part of systematic denial that there are no effects from microwaves (and other radiation) except for some heating effects on skin. The problem is, even low power, or low frequency waves can cause subtle changes in DNA.

I think he has 5 Matrix books in the series, and each book, like Matrix 3, can be multiple volumes, they can be 500-1000+ pages for each book! I've seen Matrix 3 vol 1 and 2 so far, not sure if there's more for Matrix 3. Matrix 3 has a lot of technical info but as it was written in 1992, it has no links to studies as studies were not even on the internet at that time.

This version you can borrow for 14 days: https://archive.org/details/matrixthree20vale
It's also part of this collection: https://archive.org/details/EBOOKCOLLECTIONPART9CSIh33t
It appears you can read this copy: https://archive.org/details/The_Matrix_III/
