A little while ago, I wrote about my experience with online grocery shopping, and I still think it is great. I can take care of the basics and drop by specialty store for other items and to look around at new products.
TESCO started a new practice in Asia, and it has become a great hit, especially in South Korea. They placed displays at bus stops and in subways with digital pictures of items. The users download an app, scan in the codes of desired products, and the order is delivered to a specified place at an arranged time. Usually, it is to the home after work.
The posters in the virtual stores are designed to resemble the actual aisles and shelves of a regular Tesco store, making the experience very user-friendly.
