I believe I've tried all the colours of cauliflower. I use them mostly as the main ingredient in pizza dough (it actually tastes good and is an easy way to get a healthy meal in for a family).
I don't find any significant flavour difference but then I've never tried them 'side by side' nor even alone without other ingredients.
I love having the choices!

I just saw another variety in the grocery store today: romanesco. It has a really cool spiral sort of pattern and a light green head.

The grocery store I like is bringing in some very different produce, and most of it is quite tasty. It is amazing how we have access to so much more than before. Thanks for the article - I'll be on the lookout for the purple cauliflower!
