I tried something different. One of the neighborhood children had a wonky branch he was using as a walking stick. I offered to fix it up, and he left it with me. I gave it a quick sanding, glued the felt strip where the wood was splitting, and added a bit of bling from my extensive collection of old beads. I enjoyed it and may give it a go with a better piece of wood.

Distinctive! I note the stick has wobbly knees. Nice.

at this quaratine time we make lists of things to do for our family members.
my kids put on the list that I had to make a drawing but eventually I made an aquarel.

It turned out nice so I wanted to share it.
I was inspired on the corona crisis. the rest you can fill in yourselves I think;)

That is awesome. I love the feel of it.

I have a picture I'm working on currently. I think I'm not quite halfway done. I'll post it when it's finished.

Super proud of this. My first real detailed pencil drawing. It intimated me. Heheh. But actually it was very relaxing and I think i want to do another picture...
I love my cow piece.

Here's the original.

Wow! Such detail.
And you captured your cow's expression so well, especially it's liquid brown eyes (even with a pencil drawing).

Actually, I noticed you had illustrated one of your recent threads with the photograph of this, which I had once printed off the internet about 2 years ago, with the intention of painting it one day. Seeing it on your thread made me revisit and then draw it. Painting up next, I suppose.

Oh Gosh that is so beaurtiful.

Will give you a story, a Pod story!

I was in Thailand for the first time, just on holiday and decided to take a diving course. I had been diving since I was a child, form the time that tanks were called Aqualungs.

As my dive instructor was writing out my completion slip to say I had passed, the Captain shouted "Dolphin" Three dolphins swam together and amazingly one of them swam by the boat and looked me in the eye.

Vera, my instructor and I dived into the sea in the hope of having another encounter but they were gone.

It was Halloween and everyone talked about it because the dolphins in Thailand NEVER came near boats because they had learned that engine sounds were dangerous.

They came to see me. I know it. A human who went out to Pacific and swam before she could walk.

So of course my name is Pod.

Thanks Hailstones.

That's awesome hailstones. I like the color blocking you did. Sweaters can be tricky. My first one was massively huge. Haha. We took sewing machine to try to shrink it.
The second one worked out much better on sizing. Swatches are so important! Looks like you have a great consistent guage.
