Dr Mark Hyman got a broken brain when he experienced mercury toxicity and, when he recovered he told everyone about his healing journey in a docuseries called The Broken Brain. When he got so sick again that he was bedridden from mold toxicity he started a new healing journey that resulted in this docuseries. There's a lot more to this than just mercury + mold as you can see from this outline of topics:
  • Episode 1 – My Story: The Power of the Body-Mind Connection
    • Live April 3rd from 6pm ET to April 4th at 5:59pm ET
  • Episode 2 – Protecting Your Brain From a Toxic World
    • Live April 4th from 6pm ET to April 5th at 5:59pm ET
  • Episode 3 – Rising Above and Healing From Toxic Beliefs and Trauma
    • Live April 5th from 6pm ET to April 6th at 5:59pm ET
  • Episode 4 – The Secrets Behind the Heart-Brain Connection
    • Live April 6th from 6 pm ET to April 7th at 5:59pm ET
  • Episode 5 – Cooling the Fire Within: The Immune-Brain Connection
    • Live April 7th from 6pm ET to April 8th at 5:59pm ET
  • Episode 6 – How to Personalize Your Diet and Understand Your Genetics
    • Live April 8th from 6pm ET to April 9th at 5:59pm ET
  • Episode 7 – Optimizing Your Brain Health and Innovative Therapies
    • Live April 9th from 6pm ET to April 10th at 5:59pm ET
  • Episode 8 – The Step-by-Step Brain Reset
    • Live April 10th from 6pm ET to April 11th at 5:59pm ET

The primary speaker has a great way of framing concepts that puzzle most of us so that they make sense and then goes on to let us know what we can do to heal. In addition to this a panel of patients, experts and researchers fills out the cast of speakers.
The gut-brain and heart-brain are discussed as well as the role of emotions and beliefs; so this really covers the spectrum from nitty gritty lab testing and treating type medicine across to the more esoteric side of health and healing. It's all part of the picture.
I've watched episode one which is introductory and loved it. It starts with these tidbits of information and goes on from there:
  • 26% of American adults now suffer from a diagnosable mental disorder
  • Every 65 seconds, someone in America develops Alzheimer’s
  • Suicide was the 10th leading cause of death in the U.S. last year
Enjoy! Please pass on to anyone you know who needs support on their healing journey.

I followed a similar series a few weeks back, and it was mind-blowing.

Inflamation messes up everything.
Gut has a big influence on the brain.
Alzheimer's is not a foregone conclusion for the older population.
Learning new things as we age is very important for brain health.

Thanks for the summary, I'll add
... and eat good quality food. The diets which work best for each of us as an individual can vary; eating whole, fresh quality food will always be a win for anyone.

There are also many more detailed suggestions of specific diets, supplements, genetic predispositions that you can do lots about to massively decrease your risk of eg Alzhemier's if you have 'the dreaded APOE4 double genetic predisposition', and lots more details like that.
The series is still ongoing and it seems that they are continuing to allow access to the first episode.
