The biggest news of the week is Jupiter, as we prepare for his move into Capricorn, which happens tomorrow.
This is a huge switch of energies for all of us in the areas of our lives where Sagittarius and Capricorn fall in our own birth charts but mostly for Capricorn or Sagittarian types.

However Jupiter and Saturn are two of the biggest players in the world of astrology, traditional or otherwise.

Jupiter in his own fiery sign has brought a year of restlessness for many and a need for “more” in their lives, especially in areas of travel, expanding their lives and going after their personal goals.

This may have involved short cuts for many that didn’t pay off as there were likely blocks due to Saturn still in his own sign of Capricorn posing a problem for many of us in the form of needing to cut through sometimes unnecessary red tape, getting past karmic blocks, also due to the Moons South Node being with Saturn in Capricorn for a lot of the year.

So Sagi type people have probably not been very patient with all of this but Capricorns and others have had to be.

Jupiter in his own sign has improved on the lives of Sagittarians tremendously, like a Guardian angel watching over them. And most of them have been at their optimistic and motivating best, even though many have overindulged quite a bit and spent too much money.

Now with Jupiter in Capricorn there is a dual influence of giving the Capricorn rules and laws a bit of a push and shove in the right direction and also finding the discipline and practical means to carry out their plans and goals for the coming year.

The combination is excellent for property matters, business, if anyone has been waiting to sell or buy, begin a business.

And of course it’s good for studies in these areas including Marketing which is ruled by both signs.

It will help students in general to knuckle down to gain qualifications that they may not have otherwise had the patience for.

Capricorn is the money sign for Sagittarians so this is a lucky year ahead for them in areas of investments with a good return for investments already made.

For Capricorns it’s also lucky as Jupiter is the planet of the higher mind, publishing, being popular, travel too and expanding horizons .
So they can expect a very good year when they will be more willing to take risks than usual, and get out of their usual routine.

Jupiter is more subdued than usual in this sign as he is in his “fall”. The two energies are opposite to each other so it kind of reins Jupiter in to conform a bit more, but that is not always a bad thing as Jupiter knows about tradition and laws and he does at his best have integrity.

So in the right circumstances he will make the most of opportunities as Capricorn is an ambitious sign and Jupiter loves a LOT of everything.
They do have some things in common.

When Jupiter and Saturn get together during the Christmas period in 2020 in the sign of Aquarius, which will be heralded by a total solar eclipse in Sag, we will see the power of both energies and the effect on the world in areas of new rules and laws involving Global environmental issues, also for travel and equality of people, technology plus our educational systems and how young people learn in our communities. But that’s a whole other subject.

The year ahead of us now Globally will be one of bills being pushed through our parliaments that have been stuck for quite some time and could affect our prison systems and Law courts, small businesses, laws around property for various countries and who is allowed to buy if foreign to that country.

I do believe it will begin to change how world leaders are chosen to rule their countries, bringing in new laws on the same. Many system changes will begin with world Governments.

There will be changes this coming year for education also in areas of old rules and laws which could extend to how tests and exams are conducted as Jupiter is all about education, and Capricorn about Gov laws.

Wherever this move happens in your birthcharts, this is where you can get more serious about carrying out your goals and where you will get a bit of a boost of energy from Jupiter as he explores his new options for the year ahead and where he can motivate you to gain more of what you need.

Mine will be my 12th house so maybe I can take time to write the book I have been talking about for years. I hope to find more disciplined time to spend on my spiritual pursuits also, as well as travel off the beaten track a bit more.(All 12th house energies.)

As Jupiter moves into Capricorn tomorrow, Venus in Capricorn will conjunct the South Node. This makes it a very auspicious day as this is a completion for something Global in a destiny /karmic sense and marks a major turning point for the world in general in all of the above .

It’s the same for Capricorns, Taureans and Librans also and those of us with planets around 8 degrees Capricorn.

Venus helps to bring some joy and celebration to this changeover even if a little subdued in the Capricorn vein.

This is like a BIG sigh of relief for many also after a year of hard work and patience, waiting for the right time to make a move.

Asia creates 70% of the garbage in the Pacific ocean. Legislation from the US, Australia, or NZ won't affect the trash in the Pacific much, if at all. Asian governments are simply too weak to enforce laws they already have.

That was just one example of laws that need changing and the effect of Jupiter and Saturn conjuncting in the coming two years.

Re garbage, this will be a long term and more serious project globally from late next year I am sure Therium. I think there will be heavier penalities from this year for dumping trash - its starting now in fact.
Also there are huge cleaning up projects in regard to the oceans. There are parts of the ocean totally covered in trash for miles. I read yachting stories and this always comes up in the last few years.
Asia has no idea about how to clean up trash or prevent it. NZ is bit the same - there are no rubbish bins even in the Red Zone area I live in which is now a walking trail ad picnic area for people and bikes along the river, so there is trash everywhere. Usually NZ is quite good with this sort of thing but the Counsils will not spend the money here with the heavy costs of recovering from the huge earthquake that flattened the city ten years ago.
The subject of littering is on our news a lot lately.

Aust was bad for trash but has improved a lot in the last 30 years or so...

I really look forward to changes here...

... as I believe we have been exploring some of the things we can do in these areas and will now perhaps input some wisdom gained from the experiences we've had in discerning and implementing what works well and what has unexpected fallout that we don't want.
I wish us all much wisdom and joy in this particular pursuit.

And it sounds like the year ahead will be a great time to plan for such stuff, as it is about a year away.

Overall, I think I'm going to loooove this period!:-D
