I recalled something I used to do - print photos in black and white tones and used watercolor pencils to color them, which gave them a mystical or magical appearance. I have no idea where they are now, but it is fun to do.
That is a very good idea. It makes me want to try it. And I forgot all about those watercolor pencils. Now that you mention it, I recall playing around with them as a kid. Do they still make and sell them?

I remember having them as a child too. I may still have mine. Haha
I'm sure they still make them, just a matter of finding them.

No eraser challenge
Not by choice, but my kids put it somewhere. (Hehe)

Symmetry is difficult to achieve when drawing butterflies.

Very different direction here. Haha taking a break from birdies.

Sri yantra

I've felt drawn to this geometric shape for a while now.

I was thinking about triangles (3D ones) last night half-asleep (the time when all the 'cool' and sometimes 'tough to catch' thoughts come). I'd built a merkaba protection theme for myself years ago that was gold+silver intermingled.
Last night's thoughts are a bit vague now. What I do remember is that I was wondering how a person's merkaba (it seemed clear at the time that each of us had one) interrelates with their torus energetic field. I think I concluded that they were probably both present, each at a different 'layer' of our being.

If you hadn't posted this I would not have recalled this.
Thank you!<3
It's beautiful.

I colored mine. And skipped.
I’ll count coloring as day 4. :)
Another middle-of-the-night thought. This one's for you, Anaeika.

As I lay half-awake I remembered your beautiful lotus flower. What I wondered about was how it relates to the 5 petaled thingy with the person in the middle that you drew after your qhht session?
Any ideas?

That is so pretty! I love how the wings have a leaf like quality! I've never thought to put such a design in them like that.
Anaeika's elven, so of course she would think that butterfly wings would be veined like leaves;):D

Edit: And now it seems obvious that put together your triangle drawing, Angela with Anaeika's lotus flower (spread out into an encircling circle) and your pretty much have the drawing of the sri yantra, lol.

Sigh, it was a busy night last night. I'm clearly still chewing on whatever was going on for me then:rolleyes::eek::cool:O.o:D

Yeah, so, as I just wrote above, moments ago...

that drawing of yours after the qhht session is coming to mind here too. I guess because when I looked at your drawing it olooked quite a bit like a person with wings and the body in the middle... similar to the way this swallowtail is built.
Beautiful, gorgeous, stunning, once again<3
You even managed to make the edges look lacy!

Angela the feathers of your blue bird reminds me of henna tattoo - didn't you do those? They are a favorite - so elegant.

Scootin in under the wire. Spent a couple of days trying to draw what I see in my mind. Although it does not look like much, I realized it was more difficult to draw something that was a generalized idea. This was interesting for me.

June and I talk about having our personal space craft that would make quick trips between our homes possible. Mine also has a back seat for my dog. The back part is reminiscent of an older Cadillac fin.

I do some henna from time to time, yes. When I was looking up pictures of birds today, i saw some with abstract pictures within the sections and thought that would be a fun way to play with the wing sections. ☺

That's always been one of my issues. Taking something, a generalized thought, and making it detailed into being. That looks like a totally fun space ship though.

Hey - so you suppose this is part of learning to manifest?

Still dream about having a personal space craft, Linda. About the size of a four person car will do.
I would travel to Texas at warp speed, and land on your back lawn, then we could go explore that forest together, I’d love that.

I'd like to explore a forest with Henda. She's very attuned to trees. <3

Love the piggies - I like to visit with Waddles and her babies at the farm.

Today - orchid by my bathtub.

Soooo - you know there is a story, right?

A couple of days ago, something my grandfather said popped into my head. Then I started thinking about riding in his pickup truck. I loved it because all the edges were round and it had those curved windows on the rear side. It was dark green with a floor shift and no seat belts. My brother and I would slide all over the seat, which is probably why we usually rode in my grandmother's sedan. I tried sketching from memory but ended up getting a little help from one of those vintage auction sites.

Here is a link to my story https://www.transients.info/roundtable/threads/always-ride-on-the-top-half.6482/

Here is the creamer from my Grandmother's sugar and creamer set. The two items are a mill house and water wheel. I took more time with shadowing to show curves and depth. This is becoming so much fun for me and such a good experience of really "seeing" and conveying it to paper - a good experience for so many aspects of life.

I'm sorry I've been MIA for a bit here.
I've had a lot going on the past week and the past handful of days I've been nursing a headache.
Hopefully things will settle and I can rejoin.
Linda I'm so glad you're getting enjoyment out of this!

Our grocery store, Natural Grocers, started carrying a big variety of mushrooms, and I've been trying them all. The prices are pretty good. One package is $4-5, and I can get 3-4 servings from them. My sketch is 2 King Trumpet mushrooms. They are a sturdy mushroom and do well with sautéing.

I'm working on showing rounded edges now, which seem to elude me. My art training consists of classes in elementary school, which is where I learned perspective. I don't think I was paying attention about shading, though.
