Here is a dream I had on October 14, 2015, along with my interpretation of it a day later. It may be of benefit for those who have similar dreams that involve a lot of water, and or caves and tunnels, or simply like to learn about the functioning of dream symbology and interpretation, which I provide as a service as I've been doing it for so long that I felt it was time for an energy exchange.

Experiencing Death

I was with another person as a passenger in a car, going down a tunnel. We emerge from the other side and then we are walking. I look around and see a very high wave of water coming our way. I feel a tad worried and we start running in the other direction, but soon after, there are walls of water from north, south, east and west — there is nowhere to go. (The waves are probably around the height of a 120 story building)

I accept the situation and that I cannot get away. The feeling is so real though, like it was actually happening and I was facing death.

I head purposefully towards one of the waves. The wave is more like a wall of water that moves slower than a tsunami would. My body is not really impacted in the way I expected by the water, as it’s like I am moving through a barrier of energy or some dimensional wall and I feel strange sensations throughout as I make my way through to the other side.

After a short pause of nothingness, on the other side, everything is very dark; it is like I no longer use eyes but I am perceiving everything from a totally different perspective. There are other beings there, and I think I am guided somewhere, as I wonder what to do from that point on. I soon wake up after that.

My Interpretation

The tunnel likely represents exploring an aspect of my subconscious and possibly opening myself up to a new awareness around something. The tidal waves would probably refer to a situation(s) around overwhelming emotions which I need to address, or have been through.

When looking back and playing out the dream; I entered through my subconscious, ran into a situation that brought up feelings, faced it, accepted it, got through it without being swept away, and emerged on the other side with a new perspective.

I can relate this to a recent situation, but I do find the dream interesting from another angle as I always wondered what I would do when facing a real tsunami and if I would stand on the beach waiting for it, (i.e. Téa Leoni style in Deep Impact) or try and run away even if I knew I wouldn’t make it.

It was also interesting to see what was on the other side. It did remind me a bit of conscious astral projection experiences I've had.

This is exactly how I stopped some of my nightmares.

I liked to watch monster movies when I was a kid and I begged my mom to watch some scary movies when I was about age 9-10. Well, that was a bad idea but it was a learning experience! I had nightmares about some of the monsters for about 10 years after that.

Now that I look back at this event that started at age 9-10 I think it was all planned. I eventually faced these nightmares and that was the beginning of cleaning up my life in an emotional sense. It was the kick in the pants I needed. I was sick and tired of being afraid. I had a few more big lessons to learn after that but things are generally better now in my personal life.

My lesson from this: the fears are all in my own head, and the worst fear is the fear itself. How I look at the world matters quite a bit because attitude matters.

I'm a Taurus (right in the middle of Taurus) so I can be a bit stubborn and resistant to change, and I needed at least one parent who was more persistant than I and that was my dad, he also helped me to change and improve. One good thing about being a Taurus is once I trust someone I'm solid as a rock and will be there for them through thick and thin. Stubbornness and strength goes both ways.

We seem to be on the same page. As I was reading this, that was the line which caught my eye as the place where 'this is where everything changed'.
Prior to that, the entire dream seemed increasingly overwhelming and threatening. Once the feelings were faced + accepted (and the tidal wave faced too) it feels like the power shifted from the tidal wave to the dreamer.

This is much easier to play with in dreams, I find. What I mean is that when one is aware enough within a dream to make a decision that affects the outcome, the ending of the dream can change and the entire experience of the dream can go from nightmare to something meaningful + positive.

Here, Laron left behind the expected outcome of drowning in a tsunami and, instead, had what sounds like an interdimensional experience which included meeting other beings.
I know which one I'd pick!

Reepicheep is the hero of Voyage of the Dawn Treader (Narnia series); because he elevates himself enough to be the only one to pass over the wall of water (in a tiny boat fitting just him) and into a new dimension, where he continues on, living life at a different level, until he meets up with the other protagonists in a "heaven" scenario much later on at the end of the Chronicles. I have carefully read the book versions of the Chronicles of Narnia (C.S. Lewis) as they contain quite a few spiritual references.

It's amazing that the smallest and most insignificant character in the film, but the one with the most balls, should be the one to overcome and transcend the boundary.

Reepicheep in his walnut boat. I remember reading about him, and, as you say, considering him a very minor character but so memorable because of his unwavering faith in himself and the balls to 'Go where no mouse has gone before' (to paraphrase Star Trek).
I think if I reread the books I would see many things differently there and he would definitely be one of them.

Awesome post Melt. Beautifully put. I love CS Lewis (he passed on the same day as JFK but his brother, a chronic alcoholic, was too drunk to tell anyone)

I love the way you have linked this to Laron's dream.

Hailstones Melt , that is a book on my reading list. Thanks for sharing that comparison with us.

Laron , the movie scene is one of my favorites. It has made me wonder what choice would I choose in the moment. Wisdom or a surrendur to adrenaline?

His date of transition would then be 22-11-1963. That is a 7 in numerology, which is already divine, but 22 also has a high numerological value.

Exactly. In some of my nightmares I turned them around and turned the monster into a friend by putting a big rainbow clown wig on them and playing catch with them with a colorful beach ball. Can you imagine the monster with a big rainbow clown wig? That's not so scary now.

Have you seen Harry Potter series? The Boggart scene?

He is my favorite character in that book / movie. What I liked was his irrepressible good humor and quiet wisdom. He did small things that shaped outcomes. I've not read the later books, but now that I know he makes an appearance, I'll make an effort.

More and more I am appreciating those characters.
They have become my biggest heros<3
