This is called the flower moon too—how pretty. What can you say about that?
Its winter here so not a lot Anaeika ! Not many flowers around in NZ right now - its about 0 degrees celsius most mornings and up to a 10 in the day time.
I studied the ancient techniques and my teachers and books were way before people invented these new ideas(this was the 70's) for moons.

I only use astrological Blue moons in my work as they are two full moons in the same sign within 28 days- they work well for a lot of people. I also sometimes use the black moons which is two new moons in the same time frame.

Even the Supermoon was a term invented by a relatively new astrologer and it caught on. The real term is Perigee.

But I do move with the times as I study asteroids and new planets through the Gods and Goddesses in the Jungian way, and often remark on them on my Neptunesmagic page posts whereas many traditional astrologers will not touch them. I do not use them in readings though as there are still certain "rules" we abide by for the most accurate readings.

Janne thank you for this article and information. Very helpful. I am already feeling this moon's energy. I am looking forward to going to the Goddess temple tomorrow night for ritual. What would be good to focus on releasing with this moon?
Thank you for your words Bear-Raven, I might have missed your ritual by now as I am in NZ where I am already the next day ! Also I don't get on here very often. The Sag full moon is not so much about releasing, thats more "Scorpio" but it is a good time to affirm your goals and plans for the future and become more motivated to bring "more" of what you want and need into your life so if you have to let go to achieve then let go of negativity and blocks that stop you from achieving that, any prejudice you have, any religious or cultural block especially with this one.

This comment is very helpful for me right now. I woke up thinking I needed to reread it and I've come back to look at it quite a few times since.
I felt like I was 'getting' this one 2 days ago, and I believe I did get that significant level of this. Then last night I got 'whomped' and am now dealing with a load of old scars which I believe are from some of religion's worst moments in history.
Thank you!

Try not to take on too much of the past with this as a lot of this is racial karma. Stay in the now as much as you can and only take responsibility for your own wounds Lila. Responsibility is another key word in fact as Sag at its worst does tend to run from that.
But in this case its a bit like the AA prayer. "God grant us the serenity to accept the things we cannot change, courage to change the things we can, and wisdom to know the difference."
Sending love and healing to you <3

A timely reminder.
I'll hang on to that mantra for now!<3

Thank you so much Janne. I did see this too late. But that is okay. I used my intuition and let go a MAJOR block that I am sure was creating multiple blocks throughout my meridian system and other ways. It was blockages preventing me from manifesting to my full potential and power. It was at the end of the ritual at the temple my guides showed me what to do. I plucked a hair from my head, held it over the bonfire and chanted that every pain, emotion, love, cord, and memory that connected me to a certain individual in any way (for those who have read my post about my abduction, this is about the person I dubbed "John") go into that single hair. I stated that I no longer need him and he no longer needs me. I also said I no longer want my pain (I had an epiphany that I was holding onto my pain not wanted to let it go. I was holding onto it like a security blanket). I fully released everything associated with him and him and cast my hair into the fire to release it all with pure love light and peace. I visualized the hair burning to sparkling dust and floating up to source, to return to the universe. I pulled a cord out of myself and cast it into the fire as well. Then I filled the hole the cord left in my center with white and green light. I filled it until no more light could fit.

This may not have been ideal for this particular moon, but I felt a very strong urge to do it. It coincides perfectly with where I am at in my self-healing journey right now.

During the ritual with everyone at the temple and the priestesses, I focused on my current transformation and manifesting a career, or abundance, by helping others with my spiritual gifts, getting to live my divine purpose daily and be able to take care of myself doing that. I will post pictures from that night in a separate thread. It was one of the most powerful rituals I've experienced so far. I definitely feel lighter and different, in a good way.

Wow, another person having a breakthrough with this full moon! Gosh, you really don't know what these full moons will bring:eek:O.o:D
Bear_Raven, I'd love to read the post you refer to above. Any chance you could copy/paste a link to it in a reply?

It was perfect for the Sag moon as it comes under beliefs which is a Sag key word. Any full moon will bring out what we need to face and and heal whatever form it comes in. And am sure your own birth chart would show why it was appropriate. A turning point for you...
