On this day of wild weather in various parts of the globe, and being still in the strong energy of the watery Air new moon, Mercury in Scorpio opposes Uranus in Taurus, which is one of Mercury’s stronger aspects of the year.
This one speaks of unexpected events and news, with the media being lit up more than usual.
It stands to reason that a lot of this is to do with unusual or extreme events or news that could bring some radical reactions, or some rebellions and protests, as is happening in Sydney, Australia right now as a big gambling event is being advertised on the Sydney opera house near Gambling Awareness week, making a lot of people very angry.
This is just an example, but a lot of us may be experiencing the same in a more personal sense, especially Geminis, Virgos and Scorpios, Taureans and Aquarians too, or anyone with the signs strong in their birth charts, or 1 degree Taurus or Scorpio prominent.
Today also, Venus Rx in Scorpio squares Mars in Aquarius which is an aspect of strong feelings, strong attraction or repulsion…
It can be a time of demonstrating feelings in highly assertive, even aggressive ways, depending on our own nature, but it is an aspect of action and possibly clashes, such as being caused by someone being too dominating emotionally.
So take care today with how you express feelings and be aware that you may also fall victim to some strong advances of the opposite sex, or same sex for that matter, and have to do a quick retreat, as Venus in Scorpio and Mars in Aquarius can both be a little “strange” for want of a better word when in their most negative aspect.
And in a more general sense there will obviously be an effect of people acting in forceful ways to whatever news they are responding to today.
Arians, are added to the mix of signs that could respond to the above aspects, but if we all have “right motive” , and count to ten, we should all do ok as there is more than one way to handle any planetary influence, and we all have free will.
Another reason to take extra care is that tomorrow and probably already in effect, the Sun will square Pluto.
This is one of the more explosive aspects, and explosions can come in many forms.
It’s also a death and rebirth effect, so if you are in a dangerous part of the world right now- do take extra care.
And if you are Libran, Leo, Scorpio or Capricorn, do the same, as this aspect can be quite intense and it can bring out the dark side of people.
However, it does carry the passion to get the job done and it is always a good aspect for leaving people or difficult situations behind for good.
This aspect can be quite ruthless.
And the same could be said of some world leaders who may have to call on some reserves of strength for pressure they are feeling, so who knows what repercussions that will have.
About Janne’s Astrology: Your birth chart is a map of the heavens when you were born as viewed from our home planet Earth. Culture and location can influence the differences in two people born at the same time on this planet. We use 10 planetary bodies including the sun and the moon to interpret a birth chart, also including Uranus, Neptune and Pluto — relative new comers to astrology and there are still traditional astrologers who will not use them.
The planets have unique energies that affect us in similar ways that the moon does with tides and cycles here on earth, including tectonic plate movement. At the time of birth the heavens imprint our very natures and set the patterns for our future with “promised” events unfolding as the heavenly bodies continue to move around the zodiac in their transits, some moving faster than others. Different astrologers use different methods, some taking into account the precession of the equinoxes, some using ancient techniques and some using more modern. I use a mix of both.
