I use this website when I'm watching storms. It also doubles as a calming site lol. It is just for the continental US, and I don't know if there are similar sites for other areas.
I watch for convergence lines because storms can get a bit tricky in those areas. A while back I watched a slow moving line form right over our place, and I stood outside right in the middle and watched clouds bump into each other as they moved in opposite directions. I don't know why this phenomenon fascinates me so.
It is pretty cool (pun intended) to watch the air masses cross down from Canada and move across the country like a wintry ballet.
