Ah, Kevin C., let me give you another pearl. We had people upset at us when had to retired with my wife from California to Texas (in our case due to health reasons -yes, there is a price to pay for living in the high pressure world of the "Not So Golden State"). Their argument was that we made our money in California and it was our "obligation" to spend it there and not anywhere else. We saw what was coming and wanted to leave before the crap hit the fan -like is taking place now.

this actually applies everywhere, not just in CA. The problem is CALPERS is so dreamy it is only a matter of time it implodes
The curious thing in some places is that they are hitting the wall hard already and rather than trying to slow down the speed of the impact they are accelerating it. Their minds won't accept reality anymore even though people like us have presented cold, clear, measured facts. It is a lost case. It is in places like Chicago, New York, California, where the karma is started to manifest as Stargazer points out.
"quickening" of karma

Carl:
That issue applies almost everywhere now. France and the UK are trying hard to "claw back" these pensions (ex. UK citizens who now live in the French Riviera, etc.). Japan is trying to do the same thing. With CA, that is ridiculous, but one more tidbit - CA is trying to pass a law that, if any CA resident or business moves out/sell assets/bug out, they must pass a state tax audit. SMH... :fp

Per pensions: Technically, they don't have a choice. A lot of these pensions are eyeballs in debt (ponzi scheme for at least a decade), and the governments have been using the windfalls for pet projects. So, either they do a Dallas (and get chewed out, sued, spit on, etc.), or they kick the can down the road. Considering most government positions are 2-4 years, which do you think they will pick?

Many years ago, one of my astrology teachers said a few times that if we wanted to observe something, studying the astrological charts of celebrities and then comparing our findings to actual events, was a good way to go. That teaching got me into looking into "personalities" to correlate their current status with the overall world situation in relation to a potential "quickening." As such, two examples lately jump quickly to the top to people doing something and then getting a quick Karma discharge: Kathy Griffin and Bill Maher, both having to issue quick apologies, losing contracts, getting fired, etc. for actions they just did. Those are good examples of quickening of karma. For those two that we can see I'm sure there are many taking place but the people impacted are just normal folks. Something is afoot.

Carl: just my opinion, but I believe Griffin and Maher are actually examples of instant communication - anything on air anywhere will get instantly posted and spread virally on the Internet. I would not count them as examples of quickening of karma.

Try googling a few examples of instant karma driving and you'll see more apparent examples. These I'd consider true "instant karma".
Ex. someone speeding, cuts off another driver, immediately loses control and has a self-induced accident.
Or...someone speeding, cuts off another driver, cop is right on the side up ahead, pulls the speeding driver - instant ticket.
There are others that are not so apparent - good Samaritans helping homeless, then hitting small jackpot at the local casino;
student assisting a handicapped grandmother crossing a street, hears that she got a scholarship the next day, etc. I keep seeing
these stories on a daily basis.

I agree... it is amazing how karma is quickening. I think part of it may be the flow of time has quickened as well since 2012, as Laron's articles on shift in consciousness have alluded to. The other part (and I have felt it in my daily life) is mentioned before: I believe angels, demons, loved ones, ascended masters, aliens (add whoever/whatever you believe in) are currently in all walks of life near us, and watching us closely. Whatever we do, we will get instant karma. Interestingly, sometimes I get "instant feedback" when I'm thinking. So instant "karma" applies to thoughts as well.

Astrology is actually a great way of "future seeking" your energies so that you know what to avoid and how to act during that period of time. In Chinese cultures, Daoists use the "I Ching" to do the same thing, with one exception - the "I Ching" is broader and more powerful, as it can literally calculate the flow of fate and fortune for you at specific times and places. The problem, as with astrology, is finding the lessons (or masters who are) that are the true fundamentals in interpreting "I Ching" signs/compass. It comes down to interpretation and analysis.

I would disagree there. The speed of the reaction to their actions is what counts. Yes, currently with technological advances in communications ideas/presentations/news/etc. tend to disseminate faster and reach wider audiences, granted; but while in the past reactions were much delayed we have now a chance for quicker responses. In both cases, Griffin and Maher, received rapid concrete reactions (and not just condemnations and outrage, but loss of contracts, having to apologize, heartfelt or not, followed very quickly), thus actions and quick tangible reactions followed, very similar to your very valid examples.

Griffin is well-known for going too far, but Maher has been fairly careful about staying with his message, which is why his gafffe surprised me. I see Griffin and Maher as examples of people imploding - by that I mean people who've been saying one thing and living another - lot's of things coming to light. To me, it is indicative of what you all have been saying about some of the people in California - there is bright light shining on all that hidden stuff.

Carl: Ah, it comes down to our differing interpretations of 'instant karma'. My definition of karma is something that's done "by God's hand", so to speak (deus ex machina). So, people's reactions to someone's idiotic actions or comments (Maher, Clinton, Griffin, Trump of course, even if he does speak the truth most of the time), and the resulting actions (firing, regrets, apologies) do not count, in my opinion. It would be similar to having an argument on transients forum, making an ill-advised comment, get attacked, and making an apology.

Linda: All true. In addition, instant communication makes it impossible to condition the message anymore. If you react and speak, everything is recorded instantly and you have no way of going back to change your message. I think Maher had a brain freeze at the time, and spoke the first thing that came to mind (the interviewee is a black person), so he made an ill-advised joke. As you said, Bill is usually very careful to protect his journalistic reputation.
