I feel the timing is divine for such a deck, especially with that artwork!<3
I also reacted immediately and strongly to the first card I saw, and imagine that others will too.
Good luck to your friend in this venture... not sure it's needed;)

Adam, I like to see a lot of symbology in cards so my first impression is that it is a bit empty in terms of content.

I think the that color red is suitable based on dream symbology around that color. (Red is an indication of raw energy, force, vigor, intense passion, aggression, power, courage, impulsiveness and passion)

The stone in front of her fits in for me, but the background seems a bit out of place. The artwork of the pillars could be modified, so perhaps larger pillars and more of a match to the actual character art. I think they are a bit narrow also.

I would like to see more color in the image, but not much more. So perhaps a background color that stands out a bit.

Personally I much prefer tarot cards over oracle cards as I just find oracle cards generally lack in depth. My favorite Tarot decks at the moment are the Animals Divine and The Wild Wood Tarot; this may give you some insight on what I consider great symbology and artwork, as well as great detail into the accompanying manuals.
