I know that you did not mean to tell me that you are questioning my abilities. I wanted to stress that we are different in this process even though it is given to everyone to have such experiences. I am going to write an article about some of those I had since 2017. And YES Spiritual Growth is the trigger :-D
henda I love your stories and experiences. I always look forward to them. they truly are magical and amazing! <3 much love! :)

I think I got to F1, no further! But with visitors so I agree with you on that point.
Do you remember your dreams? Then you have memories of being in F2 (private non-physical place) state already, according to Frank's and also Robert Monroes (more elaborated) model of reality.
Quote from Kepple's resource (http://www.astralpulse.com/frankkepple.html):
The key fact about engaging with F2 is that all your belief constructs will be represented in front of you in glorious 3D! As F2 is divided into many, many areas which all hold different beliefs, thoughts, memories and experiences from your life, you can engage with these belief constructs as you wish.
There are tremendous joys to be had here. Myself, I love running through all my childhood memories, for example. Anything you ever felt, saw, experienced, etc., etc., in your life, you can “relive” again within Focus 2 and in stunning detail. Absolutely anything and everything your physical senses have ever experienced, and I mean that LITERALLY, is recorded by your senses and “stored” within Focus 2, plus all your dreams too. F2 is where you do your dreaming every night so you are actually well used to this area.
(...)
I should point out that although this is your own personal area and cannot be experienced directly by others, it is still possible for someone to communicate with somebody else in an F2 state (such as a dream for example - which is just F2 with restricted awareness). Someone else from outside, say F3, can try to communicate telepathically and this communication will hopefully manifest itself in the F2 experiencer's world, perhaps even as a representation of the communicator.
Of course the 'real' OBE/AP as described by me and Laron would be then starting in F3, including F4 of course with the (rare!) mystic/unity experience of your Higher Self or of 'God' or whatever crazy stuff this All-That-Is-thing really is all about. ;)

I suspect that dreams could be anywhere from Focus 15 to Focus 22 in Monroe's Focus Level system, but I am not sure anymore. I remember he wrote in one of his books where he put dreams into, but it is not in this list. Anyway, to compare with Frank's simpler model:

https://www.monroeinstituteuk.org/focus-levels/

States of Consciousness and Focus™ Levels
As a result of extensive experiential and brainwave research at The Monroe Institute, a simple system of labels (called Focus Levels) was devised to indicate various states or phases of consciousness. These labels are a means of neutral identification, and are used extensively as part of the training process throughout our weekend and week-long experiential programs.
Focus 1 – Normal, everyday waking consciousness. Completely in phase with physical matter reality. Also referred to as “C1 Consciousness”.
Focus 10 – The physical body is deeply relaxed while the mind remains conscious, awake and alert. “Mind awake, body asleep.”
Focus 11 – The Access Channel – the ultimate communication channel to all levels of awareness -mental, physical, and emotional. Opened during each Human Plus® exercise.
Focus 12 – A state of expanded awareness while the body remains deeply relaxed and asleep.
Focus 15 – A state of No-Time. Consciousness is now far removed from physical body signals. Linear time is no longer relevant to experience.
Focus 21 – On the very edge of perception of the time/space continuum. Mind remains fully conscious and active.
Focus 22 – On the border between time/space and non-physical states of being. Comatose.
Focus 23 – The condition in which an individual may find him or herself immediately following physical death.
Focus 24 – The site of non-physical activity generated by simple or primitive religious or cultural beliefs.
Focus 25 – The expression of the major organized religious beliefs in recent human history.
Focus 26 – Here are identified certain areas, few in number, containing the structures and knowledge of various highly individual religious and other beliefs based on direct experience of self.
(Focus Levels 24 to 26 are referred to as the Belief System Territories, and are explored extensively during the Lifeline program)
Focus 27 – The edge of human thought capacity. The site of a way-station (not a terminus) for rest and recovery from the trauma of physical death.
Focus 34/35 – The area of the Gathering. Beings from many other locations within the physical universe are gathered here to witness the upcoming Earth Changes. First mentioned in Bob Monroe’s second book, Far Journeys.
Focus 42 – I-There cluster consciousness.
Focus 49 – Sea of I-There clusters.
The levels he mostly used for his term of "Phasing" which is a certain technique of AP/OBEing with the underlying philosophy (shared e.g. also by Tom Campbell and many other Monroe Institute members) that you change focus to certain 'levels' but your consciousness already expands to all of these (F1 to F4). Here's his great and short explanation:

Frank Kepple himself wrote as a comparison to Monroe's model this:
Monroe's Focus C1 = my Focus 1
Monroe Focus 3, 10, 12, 15 & 21 = my Focus 2
Monroe Focus 23, 24, 25, 26 & 27 = my Focus 3
Here the comparison ends, as my Focus 4 has no Monroe counterpart.
It should be noted however, that Monroe 'met' his Higher Self (F4) and it might be F43-49 in his list, but maybe it was developed after his death because he did not all of the levels, changes were made later. There are YT vids on though were he described it sometimes as the 'I-There' as compared to the 'I-Here' (incarnated self). I also had an article on this once, one of my rare ones at Transients, you can find the video where he tells us about it there:

http://www.transients.info/2016/11/real-heaven-higher-self/

Remember however that the map is never the landscape. All those models (like any scientific model or system) are only there to give a picture of what has been found out and to 'illustrate' in theory this reality. Other models of reality also have their merits, such as the theosophic system or any older Eastern views. Just my opinion.

I agree with Sinera about the difference between AP and OBE.
This could be a misunderstanding because I did not say anything about a difference between these two so far. But I can do now, see below my answer to Laron.
just to remove any confusion, astral projection and out of body experience are the same thing.
Historically and by 'official' definition this is certainly correct. I have a personal definition though and know from other forums members that some might share it, but it is just personal and for me logical, that's why I use it that way.

OBE is for me when I am projecting to the RTZ (real time zone, according to Robert Bruce) which is 'the physical' and yes, you can see your body. I admit it only happened once for me, during my first induced OBE. I remember a lot of peculiar and exciting things about it but the strangest thing was seeing your self 'in real-time' with closed eyes while you look down floating near the ceiling of your room. Haha, you never forget that. :D

Astral Projection for me is when you project to an Astral Plane (hence: 'astral' used again) that can be earth-like (but not the physical) but need not be, and we know there can be countless realms in the non-physical.

It's just my little personal view, and yes, definitions my vary, words are just words, labels just labels.

What I think is happening to you is that you are just picking up on information and being shown it, similar to how dreams work and how data slips in to show us possible future events, past lives, alternative realities, etc. It could just be a lost in translation thing, but so much of what you have shared doesn't seem to be OBE or AP based.
It's been a long time since I read one of these articles but as far as I remember it I agree to what Laron says.

Given the colourful content of the stories, their apparent over-length and the high frequency of occurence, they seem to me (just speculating here) to be very interesting clairvoyant or dream-like experiences, or maybe a form of visual channelling, or visions perhaps, or sth that Glenda termed 'vision requesting' above, but definitely not OBE/APs (F3 experiences).

This is also confirmed by the fact that usual signposts or 'symptoms' were missing for me. Those elements that AP/OBErs talk about and at least most know, such as e.g. the Vibrations, The Void / 3-D-Blackness, the fear-tests (dweller at the threshold), tunnel flights, teleportings/jumps/phasings or in general a discussion of usual problems or failures including some introspection and interpretation attempts of what was experienced - or any other technicalities, such as how to do this or that and what was the result (experimenting). None of that was there.

It was actually and honestly the reason I stopped reading them quite a while ago because I concluded for myself these were no OBEs/APs - although very interesting highly spiritual experiences nonetheless of course! But I want to read about AP/OBE, it's just my passion. <:)

These accounts seem rather like vivid, visionary and part-lucid dreams. Therefore I speculate that according to Kepple's model they could be mainly F2 (dreams, belief constructs) but of course with many 'leaks' to real insights, channellings and clairvoyant visual messages.

In case it is a storyline with tasks to be done or things to be learnt it could also be the so-called helper's simulations for soul growth. We all have them in dream-time (in F2), by the way. Me too. Mostly I or generally most of us do not remember them, so it is a great skill to remember it all in so much detail. Much respect for that!
:)

If s.o. is interested: I remember that Kurt Leland wrote a lot about these astral / dream simulations taking place in 'private' and shielded areas (F2), they are normally guided by our helpers and can indeed, as said, be very helpful for spirtual growth. That's what it's all about. You can read his experiences in his AP log that includes "lucid dream-land" in a private astral zone - also called 'dream zone' by him. It's fascinating and lots of insights and teachings are given. His border between F2 and F3 (AP) is however more fluid it seems to me. So we have overlaps, but these overlaps and blurry lines exist anyway, as dream-to-OBE conversions also can show us.

Oops. I wrote again way too much. <:);)

Sinera you have given a lot of food for thought. I did not have vibrations, fear tests or experience ‘the void’
I’m glad you spoke of the Void as the only time I’ve heard mention of it was in The golden tablets and it was referred to as a place to flee from!

I’ll keep reading and practicing.

I don't use FFFFF techniques LOL It happens and I am happy with my own process :-D and how it happens to me. I believe that all we need is to focus on one thing before doing it and to be clear in intentions.
Henda, for our remote viewing exercises, why don't you just project out of body and visit the location to view the target? (At least with the first one as you know where it is, where with the second it's not as simple as that) Based on what you say all the time about your abilities, it sounds like this would be a piece of cake for you — that is unless I am again misunderstanding what you are saying about being out of body consciously.

I’ll keep reading and practicing.
On top of what Sinera has said, it's important to realize a few things here.

Most of us will have to treat this like learning a new sport, for some it will come naturally, but on average it won't. Think about what an athlete has to do to become decent at their sport. Think about the training they go through to get there, and there being a local competition, a state competition, or even national, but beyond that we have things like the Olympics which is really the elite athletes. As we progress, we go from local, to state, to national, to the Olympics. People like Tom Cambell, Robert Monroe, Robert Bruce, Mark H. Pritchard/Belsebuub, William Buhlman, and others Sinera has mentioned, have reached either the National or Olympic level, depending on how you look at it.

Avatars like Sai Baba, Jesus, Gautama Buddha, etc, have gone beyond that Olympic level, and astral projection is a big part of who they are, as this ability goes hand in hand with spiritual development. You may be approaching spirituality very differently and not be attempting any kind of induced out of body method, yet you will go out of body (and when I say that, I mean fully consciously where you switch to being there like it was you waking up from a dream) through other means while on the path, whether spontaneously at any moment, through meditation, a fast, hearing strong vibrational music such as sound bowls, raising the kundalini over and over, in dreams, etc. This is where bi-location comes in for those who are of a high level—which doesn't have to be conscious for the person.

While in the astral levels, and this is why I call it astral projection for shifting out of body into the real-time environment (such as your room, or an Earth based location) as that is in the 5th dimension, the astral, advanced projectors can create matter in the physical and appear in physical form, from the astral, which is very rare and not easy to do (it takes a lot of energy). This is what bilocation is when it is done consciously, as for those who have really mastered astral projection, they can have their focus in multiple locations simultaneously (and I think Tom Campbell is one of these people), meaning they could project at any time, not in a meditative state, and continue on with what they are doing, yet appear in the physical somewhere else if they built up that ability (like bilocation). With regards to this line of thought, I have an article here about that, Setting intentions before falling asleep and splitting into the astral.

So learning astral projection to induce out of body experiences is a major commitment and lifestyle change. If you want to do it properly, you also need to adjust your diet, as your energy is a key component to this. But like I said, some people will have it come naturally, so the experience of getting there and advancing will be very different.

Oh, the other thing is, is to take it slow and gradually, just like with anything, otherwise one can get overwhelmed and give up very easily as they put too much effort in at first and become let down with no results.

One of the most important things you can do as you begin this journey is start recording your dreams down as a first step. It gets easier and easier and easier as the consciousness is trained to retain memory and detail, and there are mantras to say after waking to help the recall if something important needs to be remembered, but it's just good to do this anyway.

Sinera, your being shines when you discuss this topic. Whether you teach it, help another teacher, or even write a book about it, this seems to be important for you to keep pursuing.

(Maybe we should shift some of this discussion to a new thread as we might be derailing the original purpose of this thread — the actual activity by Shu-man)

I didn't watch the video above that Sinera included, but this reminds me of a very common situation relating to fear.

I came to the conclusion many years ago now, well, a decade, that sleep paralysis was a good thing, and related to a stage within the process of astral projection. People naturally fear this, as they can't move, but it's the perfect example of how something negative, is actually positive.

We just need some help, some education and to practice the methods to continue the process once in that paralyzed state. I have had it happen on a few occasions, yet I was not afraid, I was just very wary. On one of those occasions which I have mentioned previously somewhere on transients, I sensed something next to me, which I later came to feel was me, already projected. It was reaching for me with these very inhuman like fingers, trying to touch me. I felt a level of ... alertness, but not fear. It came closer and closer and now I can't recall much else but it was during the period I was actively training to go out of body.

There will be many, many instances of fear that comes up for most people. Some people don't need to go through all these fear tests. In that situation, I didn't feel it was a test though, it was more of a curiosity as I suspect I was out of body and just wanting to interact with my physical body. (and this is not a good idea as it can lead to you loosing the conscious connection while out of body, so you end up being pulled back in).

A lot of people have shadow beings in their room while in the stages of slipping from being awake, to asleep, and vice versa. These are not evil entities out to get them, but can be a range of beings, from guides, loved ones watching, or even a helper in the astral waiting to see how the person progresses. Sometimes it's higher self creating a situation to overcome. It's just our perceptions of the environment we are in vary greatly based on our current state of being, so if we had a clearer perception, we would not see them as shadows, we would see them as their true form and there are ways to make our perceptions clearer.

Many students learn usually from an inspiring teacher - either on forums like here with Shu-Man or Laron (who says he intends to do a course here) or on Institutes like the TMI, or from many of the famous book authors we know like Tom Campbell, Bill Buhlman, Robert Bruce, etc.. or even from other websites or YT-channels, such as e.g. Lucidology years ago (there's no more updates though):
I have to say that I'm grateful for the time that you and Laron and Henda have put in already, in Shu-mans absence and I feel like I have excellent guidance from you all. I've gone back to basics, intent before bed and lucid dreaming and made some small breakthroughs, one of which happened last night and I'll post here shortly. Henda I read some of your articles and found them to be of a very high vibration. Your trees I marveled at the nrg in them. Sinera Laron is right. You have a wealth of information on how to guide someone in cultivating the skillset of AP/OBE. I'm confident with the advice and resources even supplied so far that I will get somewhere-out there even if its just down the hallway!

Most of us will have to treat this like learning a new sport, for some it will come naturally, but on average it won't. Think about what an athlete has to do to become decent at their sport. Yes, it may sound simple, especially when reading accounts from the National and Olympic athletes. In reality we are going against a programmed consciousness of one certain reality is IT and 99.9% of the 'staus quo reality' occupants to which we share said reallity work damn hard not to disrupt it with any other. Most of us have had this state put upon us in one way or another since birth!

So learning astral projection to induce out of body experiences is a major commitment and lifestyle change. If you want to do it properly, you also need to adjust your diet, as your energy is a key component to this.
That is interesting as I have felt like I need to make some changes to my diet, mainly reducing meat and eating more fruit.

I have gone back to building up to the experience. I have been dreaming so much more even with intent and appear to be lucid and in control and when I wake I am even still in the dream so can turn back over and resume it. Once I woke and there was a square light tan object on the roof, it seemed so real. Perhaps a hypnogogic hallucination.
I feel like this is an important thing for me to pursue so I'll carry on practicing.

This sort of information is valuable to know as that part of our awareness that is monitoring our safety, the 'fight or flight part' of the brain so to speak-needs to be reassured/informed by the higher consciousness in us that its OK, its just a normal phenomena of the experience. Or I think I would freak out and develop a block to ever going there again.

Small update: As mentioned I have goen back to intention before bed and have been lucid dreaming. In one dream last night I had a form of fear test... I was in the dream with my close friend in our lounge talking about ET contact that we had apparently been warned we were going to experience, something like going into the ship it was and suddenly her demeanor changed from relaxed to concern and fear and she said" uh oooh, here they come NOW. Theres one at the window" She then turned and ran to get away. I felt a lot of fear come up externally/around me but not in myself, if that makes sense. So I said in the dream "No, no it's ok remember they said it was going to happen, its just happening now". I woke up then and immediately thought it might have been a {small for some but big for me} fear test and I felt ok as I hadnt gone into fear. A lot of fear had come into the dream but I didnt let it enter me.

That is good progress imv. I also need to think hard to remember when I last felt fear in one of my dreams. In fearful or stressful situations it is the people and environment around me that is afraid or frightening, but I stay calm as if it is a kind of 'movie' that is running for entertainment. I am quite detached in my dreams now, most of the time, exceptions might be there, but mostly I see it as progress to be detached and not 'attached' to these played out emotional and draining dramas.
Once I dreamt of a big cinema. All people around me were watching a sci-fi invasion/horror film in agony and terror. I was frowned upon by many there. Because I was the only one laughing my head off because I thought the UFOs and aliens looked so ridiculously funny. :-D

Thank you. Here’s hoping progress continues.
Last night I had a recurring dream and it’s really weird timing that you should bring up detachment/absence of fear- as normally it would have had me rattled but this time not so much. I shall work on detachment from the scene as well, as a goal to learn.

Haha that is the power of being in a state of love. The fear based stuff just looks funny! Perhaps I should put a blockbuster alien move in the schedule and purposefully laugh all through it. I’m sure the other cinema goers won’t mind at all!

Should I try to AP at night when I’ve woken and am going back to sleep? I think it’s been mentioned as a good way to get ‘out there’. As well what would be a test I could do, to check I’m out there. You mentioned in another thread that you test your state by flying a little. I’m not sure if I can fly but I could try, but my concern is if I can’t then that’s not going to work for a test. i guess if it’s really happening that I’m AP or OB then I’ll know...

Before I get started, I just came across this old article I wrote based on techniques for dream recall: http://www.transients.info/2013/04/techniques-for-remembering-your-dreams/. I was at a stage where I could wake up and write down up to six dreams in great detail because of training my mind for dream recall. My memory is not the best so that is saying a lot.

Should I try to AP at night when I’ve woken and am going back to sleep?
The easiest time to project is around 3:30am to 5:30am roughly, depending on when you go to sleep, but also in the afternoon if you take a nap when you are in that tired state if you get like that.

Doing it when falling asleep at night is the harder time to do it, but more common in terms of people trying to do it, as the other times are not as convenient. Doing it when waking during sleep should be more successful than when trying to get to sleep, but not as easy as those other times, however, all this can depend upon the individual so while this is on average, some people will be different.

Do you use reality checks during the day? Do you know what they are? These are basically mandatory for someone learning to consciously project. There are a lot of things to do, but this why a course with a routine and process is crucial so you don't get overwhelmed and so you build up certain skills which are necessary.

As mentioned I have goen back to intention before bed and have been lucid dreaming
You need to train your consciousness to use techniques to project out of a dream while being conscious you are dreaming. This is another method of astral projection.

Here are some methods after becoming conscious while dreaming:
  • Fly straight up and keep going and that can sometimes pull you out of a lucid dream and into an astral environment.
  • Think of a place in the real world, the waking world, that is very familiar to you and then wish/think your self there so you transfer your focus to that place and hopefully it will pull you out into the real time environment/astral version of that physical location.
  • Say to your self, "Clarity now" to help you gain complete clarity and make it easier to remove the dream from your experience.
  • Say "higher self now" with the intention of shifting out of the dream, leaving the dream and going to a higher place. While you may not end up at higher self, you will end up higher.
  • Say "I want to leave my dream and have an out of body experience." Which is a long thing to say, so you can make up your own command here, but commands within are very powerful and a lot of people don't realize that all we have to do is create through the power of thought and we can travel and create things, but it can depend on where you are located in terms of the rules of the plane/realm for creation/manifestation. In a dream you can do this.
  • Tell your self to astral project now. Put all your attention onto projecting out of the dream, "astral project now" is something you can say.
  • Robert Bruce says, "One way to convert is to 'feel' for your body. Another is to fall backwards in a LD. But conversion is hit or miss. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. "
  • Sylvan Muldunes technique: Put yourself into the same position that your sleeping body would be in the dream. Then levitate/move your body/consciousness up horizontally belly-up, back-down. Then will yourself to rise up higher and higher. The Technique presupposes that this rising up will take the Astral Body up and away from the physical body, out of range of where the silver cord resides, which connects the two bodies can cause interference. (It's said that 20 feet is best from the physical body, or there is the problem of being whipped back into the body from any minor emotional disturbance.) This can take you out into space, but then once you reach there you should automatically project to another environment.
The main key component of this is raising your energy, your vibration and letting go of the dream. It's about becoming as fully present in the moment with as much awareness as possible and one way to do this is to start questioning things, such as where you are. You could ask your self how did you get there and what do you want to do. Through focusing on one thing and then asking questions about it, you are letting that dream completely go and refocusing your consciousness; after some moments you may be projecting.

So basically you want to get as much clarity as possible, hence "Clarity now" as one of the first things to tell your self which will help you with whatever you do next and may even help you project.

That is interesting as I have felt like I need to make some changes to my diet, mainly reducing meat and eating more fruit.
If you have an empty stomach, your body's energy won't be working away trying to digest and process any food, so will be more freed up.

A key aspect of astral projection is learning about your energy body and how you can increase not just the seven primary chakras to help with projection, such as through using mantras to stimulate the spin and vibration of them, but also raise your energy for your astral body so that you can stay out longer, travel further and eventually develop additional bodies/vehicles to travel in. The book "energy work" by Robert Bruce is a must have. This is also about self healing. You don't have to do this, but it will help and it will likely make you more successful in the long run.

Meat will thicken your energy and vibration. It will impact your emotions, especially red meat, and that links into ego elements. Your ego elements can be stronger as a result of emotions being stronger. Your energy will become clearer, more vibrant and you will become healthier (immune system will rise) without meat. Seafood is alright but be careful of the source, in terms of the polluted waters the seafood may be in. But when I gave up meat, for the reason of astral projection 9 years ago, I also gave up seafood. The Rainbow diet (color coded to your chakras) is something to look into too.

There is so much to diet and health though, so like detoxing is important, going on cleanses, a colon cleanse (optional), master/lemonade cleanse is the best one I have come across, and juicing — all important if changing to a healthier diet as all these toxins stop the good stuff from getting in properly, including the right nutrients. A great documentary is "Food Matters" which I recently watched. Forks over Knives is great too. One of the best diets we can have is raw food , as once something is cooked our white blood cells activate and try and attack the cooked food and this lowers our immunity. However it's not easy to make such massive changes to diet all at once. It can be very overwhelming. Vitamins are good for you, so if your body is lacking something, find the right vitamin. Having high daily doses of vitamins can resolve a lot of different health issues too.

when I wake I am even still in the dream so can turn back over and resume it.
I used to do this a lot when I was recording my dreams and doing reality checks. It's coming up on a decade now though since I was heavily into it.

To me, lucid dreams are about satisfying elements of the ego. We don't need lucid dreams unless we want to use them to project. We can create much more powerful and authentic places that will last above that level of the dream state if we want to use a lucid dream to create a peaceful setting, a quiet place, a cabin in the woods, etc — something non-ego related. Take Bernie for example (Unspun), he's told me of a place he will be, after he passes (he may not be around that long because of his health) and I'm very conscious of that place and plan to visit him. This place will be in the astral and he will be there, I have no doubts. He's probably there right now.

OBE is for me when I am projecting to the RTZ (real time zone, according to Robert Bruce) which is 'the physical' and yes, you can see your body.
I consider the RTZ the astral, as anything out of physical third dimension is in the 5th dimension, whatever level or area of it, as the 4th is time. For some reason I have had that in my head since I became aware of the topic of astral projection and I have never questioned it so just automatically think that as soon as we leave our body, the next level up is the 5th/astral plane, and from there all those other dimensions with varying names if we have the right state of being to access them.

Laron I did not see the remote viewing activity during the two last weeks. I also was not on the forum since last Friday or Saturday. Taking some "Me-Time" and doing some distance healing. I astral travel consciously during distance healing sessions and meditations. During a distance healing on Saturday my client from Germany saw me near her. I am not trying to convince anyone it is not very good to convince people. I do things on my own and I feel great with them. I also never felt very fine with astral travelling with other people around. I would be happy to go to your target and see what happens.

Thank you Glenn for mentioning the frequencies of my Wave Trees and you are right because you are not the only one who did the experience. I have a friend here who passed her pendulum on some of those I sent to her and she said they were around 1000, means highly vibrational. The one I already finished today is amazing too. They hold actually information about sacred geometry and most of my astral travels.
