A THING TO REMEMBER
Forgetting is a human trait.
Forgetting the realms from which we come,
Forgetting the work of the body that goes on behind the scenes,
Forgetting that the personality is just a costume to suit the play in hand,
Forgetting that light has its natural place in juxtaposition to dark,
Forgetting that we are as magnificent as creation, itself,
Forgetting that we know how to re-create, as the nucleus in every cell knows how to do,
Forgetting that wonder is reborn in our sight every morning,
Forgetting that desire is only need multiplied by fear,
Forgetting that loss is the precursor to new things.
Forgetting. It’s something we do.
