A little while ago, I wrote about my experience with online grocery shopping, and I still think it is great. I can take care of the basics and drop by specialty store for other items and to look around at new products.

TESCO started a new practice in Asia, and it has become a great hit, especially in South Korea. They placed displays at bus stops and in subways with digital pictures of items. The users download an app, scan in the codes of desired products, and the order is delivered to a specified place at an arranged time. Usually, it is to the home after work.

The posters in the virtual stores are designed to resemble the actual aisles and shelves of a regular Tesco store, making the experience very user-friendly.

I wonder what the delivery fee is.

I use an online grocery shopping service, and the fee, even with tip, is less than my time and effort doing the same. Also, I save because I don't pick up other (impulse?!?) items. For anyone who would normally shop after work, it is soooo wonderful.

PS - I've seen the shoppers in the store - whoa, don't get in their way - they are fast and picking up stuff for 2 or more orders at the same time. The most common worry I've heard from people who've not tried it is about produce - will the shopper be as conscientious as I am - my experience is a resounding yes.

I used Amazon Pantry for the first time a week ago. I had free prime for a month which also meant a free delivery fee with the pantry. They don't have a big variety of stuff, but it was better than nothing!
