I have had the experience, when working with somebody, of having their pineal gland 'light up' like a bright light in my internal visual field. Their experience was that after it lit up, they more easily fell asleep.
Maybe this is why I had the bright idea (pun intended) to play with this inside my own head last night. I was curious, thought it might be interesting and safe. So I did.

I found it helpful to have an idea of the anatomy involved:

I found the area, found some tensions and stuff in the area that I am in the process of cleaning it up. I also found a 'lightbulb'; a bit dirty perhaps, but there.

Sigh. Sweet dreams;)

I actually felt my physical brain move last night - while I was lying down and in hypnagogic sleep. It was only the once, so I don't think it was convulsing. But I have never had the sensation before. Like the whole frontal lobe moved and shifted a couple of millimetres, like a slurp.

Has anyone else here experienced this?

BTW, my skull is quite thick, nothing frag there. Maybe my lobes were responding to GWEN tower emissions?

Hmmm. Interesting experience! I had something that might have been similar the other night whilst meditating before falling asleep for the night. I felt something I can only describe as a physical "shift". It felt as if I (and my physical reality) were in one place, then everything was instantly moved over a few inches to the right. Sort of like a jolt from an earthquake, but less physical.

In my "inner vision" (with my eyes closed) I "saw" something like this:

In what I saw though, the background was black and the vertical bar was like a dark gray (and of course the letters weren't there.

Yes, this has happened to me before, in response to manual therapy; either during or some time afterward.

Did you press the 'reset' button?
I have felt like someone had pressed my reset button on one occasion with a momentary 'blink' out and then back on, without passing out, but I don't recall a sensation of movement with it.

Hey there, I feel stuff like that also and see things in the pitch black....seems the mind just runs rampant from 1 am on. Might be that we have a cell tower on the top of the hill from the house. Many years ago I had a dream vision that I was sitting in a dentist or barber chair with blinders on like they put on horses and this Old Man Winter looking fella had me sit up close and put my head against this thing like at the eye Dr. only it had a screen and I watched and the screen movie moved from right to left going faster and faster then I woke up. I have since figured I was getting a download of the rest of this life or the next, maybe even the last! I have also read that others have experienced the same thing so I wonder and have wondered what the meaning is. This was one of the questions in the QHHT hypno that I didn't get answered, rather my higher self said "NO" not now!

Frankly, Glo, that doesn't sound right to me, your higher self refusing to answer, treating you like a child, would a higher self do that, I admit I don't know much about it but it just doesn't sound right. Sounds more like a cop out from something other than a higher self. Let's face it there are all sorts of entities trying to confuse us. But I have not experienced QHHT so I'm not really in a strong position to judge. It just didn't sound right to me after hearing/reading the sessions of others.

Thanks Glo, I had read it before, it's very interesting. As I said, I'm not really in a position to judge, it was just how I felt and I'm super wary of unwelcome entities. No doubt it's all perfectly normal.

Well, I have been cleansing and sageing and blessing and putting up protection and hedges and crystals at the doors and rebuking and casting out for a lot of years and like I was telling Lorna, I do think I have had a step in every now and again but not at the time of the session I had.

Not exactly as you had it happen, except when caused by dehydration when the brain gets 'sloshy'.
But about 4 years ago I had what felt like Thunder roll across the inside of my head from forehead to back of crown and it had little lightenings in it which struck deeper into the brain. It lasted no more than a couple seconds but was shocking and even staggering. It was during spiritual awakening so I chalked it up to 'more weird unexplainable stuff' and let it be. Then earlier this year I learn my brain showed that it had had a stroke a few years previously. So who's to say what that Lightening and Thunder storm along the top of the brain pan really was? I'll never forget it though!

Bravo!
CrystalSong, I think you have hit upon what this post was really about, that is, a questioning of the assumption of yet 'more weird unexplainable stuff' and an attempt to correlate my experience with that of others', so as to maybe find an explanation.
Thanks, all of you, for your ponderings on 'brain thunder and lightning storms'!<3

It always amazes me what we find out when we do soo_O:eek::-D

Wow that is an amazing story CrystalSong

I used to hear explosions, loud cracks in my head just as I was falling asleep and it nearly always heralded an OBE or as I came to understand an IBE (inner body experience) I read that it is the sound of the calcified pineal breaking open. I do not know but it was so loud sometimes it woke me up.

Years ago I took Galantamine for projection reasons which breaks down the inhibitors of acetylcholine thereby raising it. Then I had this crack in my brain a few times.

It's the most effective "Lucid Dream Pill". I was on many forums about AP then and it was talked about so I had to give it a shot. It works indeed (taking it with choline after 3 hours of sleep is recommended, so it's used with a WB2B).

However it does so with 'strange' results, including the lucid experiences that were somehow 'different'. I had some roller coaster rides indeed.

And also your body reactions are notable. Bradycardia sometimes, euphoria and a serene calmness in the morning. Over-excited neurons 1 hour after intake. 2-3 times that 'brain cracking'.

And also 'during' the experience: the drug that lets you 'feel' your sleep paralysis much more. Very strange onset of it and a kind of 'woolen' body feeling when you project with it. But it almost has a built in guarantee to work after 1-2 hours. Something often happens. In rare cases it did not work to get lucid, but at least you had intense dreaming and could memorise a lot.

In general, it is not harmful at all. It's even natural (several plant extracts can be used, iirc I used one from a Spider Lily extract).

I do not recommend it but learn the (drugless) techniques instead though.
