Also, I am laughing at the realization that both Pucksterguy and Linda have quotes by Leonard Cohen under their posts.
I had just noticed it and was considering where I would post about it, since I am a big fan too, when you both posted in sequence here on this page, making it easy for me.
Thank you:-D<3!

Linda, please post more photos.

And you are right. I love the Southwest, and I lived on a Pueblo reservation one summer with my husband who was documenting historic indigenous architecture.

I also visit Sedona and environs with a good friend of mine as much as we can manage for girlfriend trips.

However, I am overdue for a journey there.

Krena, your flower photographs are so beautiful!
Do you do anything with them to spread the joy? Make cards, blow them up...?

Lila, what a sweet compliment. Thank you.

I do sell my cards. They are archival, original, small photos in a frame card. I sell some of the flowers and also images of the Sun Circle ( my husband'sculpture) and the sea. It is not my major business but it keeps supporting my supplies and passion. I don't have them online to sell, as most get sold pretty quickly to local organizations and neighbors.

Blow them up??? Wha??? O.o:D

Why would anyone want to destroy something so beautiful in such a violent manner? <:)

OH...blow them up as in "enlarge" them. :)|

For a minute, I was picturing Krena with some dynamite sticks and a detonator...

LOL...

:) :-)) :)) :fp

Never mind. My sense of humor went "wonky" for a minute there.

Stargazer. Photography does use some violent jargon. I love the detonator image, but I think you may be the first to imagine me with one. So...
Blow up. Yes.
Shoot.
Point and shoot cameras.
You "capture" an image.

I often say that I am going to shoot something and people not used to my habit go "wha????"

Lila, I have used the flower images for other things like Valentine notes and Facebook birthday wishes, and I have blown up many images but not the flowers, which I consider casual snapshots. Most often, they are not considered fine art for galleries. Plus, I am not doing gallery shows now, as photography sales have not been promising for several years now.

To see things I have blown up, go to my website: www.khkrena.com. The website uses flash so you cannot view on mobile devices. My older and mostly sold jewelry is on the site, too.

Summer Solstice Early Evening.
You have some nice friends!! When I looked at your picture, I thought "peaceful perfection".

We had quite a sunset with just enough clouds to catch the last rays of light. The colors ranged from purple - lavender - pink - orange, and the sky from blue to turquoise-blue. It was a feast of color.

Linda. It was absolutely "peaceful perfection."

My friend, who created the event, was throwing a party for one of designers that he had worked with and supervised for many years. He was getting married after being coupled for 27 years. There were unending supplies of champagne and hors d'oeuvres. It was a generous gift.

We all brought layers of clothing to keep warm on the sea, but we did not need them. We watched dozens of others sailing. I had enormous fun being challenged by shooting images on the sea. And I also sat still, letting the sun visit on my skin.

I was outside several times yesterday and experienced "energy blooms" in my heart chakra. As the sun was setting, I looked out the kitchen door and caught sight of a "face" on the other side of the fence. Yeah, I know it was play of light and shadow - or was it..........

Look at the tree on the left side. Do you see it?

It was a day of photograhy fun.

I missed the 5 a.m. call for sunrise where some 100 people gathered for the Summer Solstice ceremony at the Sun Circle where they connected to a world-wide event to join all sacred sites on tbe planet.

So later in tbe afternoon, I went alone to set my intention out of time to participate.

I was seduced by tbe clouds.
