I had the most amazing experience with a horse the other day . This horse:
horse.jpg

Let me preface this by saying that I'm not a "horse person" per se. I never got into the horse subculture some little girls do, and I've never been drawn to them in any strong outward way. That said, I feel a deep resonance with some, especially the not-so-common and wild breeds. Plus, in Chinese astrology, I'm a fire horse. Very much so.

So I was at a medieval fair at a neighboring village and standing near some horses waiting to take kiddies on rides. One kept looking at me and I was looking at her, and I felt an invitation to come closer. As I held out my hand to touch her nose, she nuzzled her whole head into my chest and belly, like a huge hug... totally overwhelming! She moved back and we looked at each other again, I petted her, and she again bent her head down and "hugged" me. My head was spinning <3<3<3

Any animal medicine people have any insight into this?

My daughter rode (eventer) for many years and had a grey thoroughbred, much like the one in your picture. I can say that horses are very discriminating and cautious.

So, for an unknown horse to invite you over and offer a greeting of love is the highest compliment.

Thanks for sharing this story. I could feel the love as I read it. We are not around horses anymore, and I miss their company.

I believe animals are far more sensitive to energy than we humans are. I'm guessing she saw the pureness of your Light and wanted to share the Love! ;)

You know, I've come back to this post several times because of the beautiful energy of that horse and your encounter.

Thanks, you guys <3 It's funny, being a horse (Chinese) and not having a strong connection like you do, Linda, or so many others do who are just crazy about them. I get it, but I don't get it at the same time. But this encounter, yes it was really something. I treasure it.

Animals are SOOO sensitive to energy AND PERSONALITY. If you are a good person they WILL know. horses especially among many others are more sensitive to energies especially healing energies. its possible your hands were releasing a healing energy the horse liked. jonestly thats what i think happened :) such an amazing thing. it takes a good person for a horse to act like that! maybe you should consider getting one, hehe

Hi. Ive got quite a few horses and one grey horse in particular "hugs" me with his head like you described and we bow to each other always without thinking. It has amazed me for years our particular body language.
One of my other horses isnt physically affectionate but we "talk" across the paddock. He's a harness horse so we use telepathy alot. We've built amazing trust overvthe years.
A new horse arrived today. She has taken 5 days to travel about 2000km. Today i just sat in the paddock and fed her small bits of carrot and apple and let her smell me if she wanted to come over. I think we have a bit of a journey ahead for me to gain her trust. I think she has been a bit abused.
Horses can feel our hearts from quite a distance away. Sounds like your wonderful experience was that horse recognising your good heart

Aw, thanks for all the observations, everyone!

@Derani, I've had that experience with cats, but I'm around them a lot more ;) No horses in my immediate landscape. @Mike, I don't think my downstairs neighbor would appreciate me adding that to my menagerie! :p
