I have been reading a lot about channeling. I see that everybody seems to have a different method. I've read that some people receive channeled information from a meditative state and others will be going about their day or night and the information just starts flowing.

I would be so interested in hearing how you channelers receive your information. Do you hear a voice in your head? How do you know if you are thinking your own thoughts or if another being is truly giving you telepathic information? Does your information come to you as complete sentences or do you have to fill in the blank spots? Thanks in advance. I'm feeling very drawn to learning how to channel.

Great thread, Vickie! I have many of the same questions.

I've had a couple of situations where I felt as if I might be channeling information or energy from either another being or at least another aspect of myself. I wrote about one of them in the post "Should I or should I go". In another instance, I was driving through a fairly rural area on my way home from work. I was relaxed, enjoying the ride, and thinking random thoughts about some "life questions" I'd been pondering. At one point, after asking myself a question, I "felt" rather than heard an answer coming from what I felt was a different part of my own head.

The only way I can describe it is that when you think, you're used to your thoughts coming through as your own--they feel as if they're coming from a familiar place. This answer seemed to come from somewhere else--and it didn't feel as if it was my own. I'd have to look back through my notebooks to remember the particulars of the incident, but I remember I was startled enough by the experience that I questioned if the thought was my own or "someone else's". If it wasn't a figment of my own imagination, the source of the communication said I could call it "Michael". Now I do have a bit of an affinity for St. Michael, as he was one of the characters with whom I felt drawn to as a child, so that made sense to me. But the bottom line is that I've never really been sure if any of these experiences was truly a connection to a being "outside" my own imagination or just a "wishful concoction" of an overly active mind!

I have been quite drawn to channeled material over the past few years and, given my own experiences, I too feel that channeling is something that I may be "asked" to do someday.

So bring it on, folks...I'm dying to hear about all your experiences as well...and I'll add another couple of questions to the fray:

When/how did you discover you were able to do this?

What did you do to develop your abilities?

How has discovering this ability changed your life?​

In the last few months information about channeling has been coming my way. It started with a book I ordered online. It was an old first edition about an ET message to humanity. Strangely enough, the order got messed up and the used book seller sent a different book. The book I received was an instructional book on channeling. I kept the book and read it and I found it to be a good book even though it is an old book. I learned a lot and began to get interested in learning to channel. After reading the book, I didn't order, channeling how-to information keeps finding me. I mean literally every day I stumble upon more information about learning to channel. I do believe I'm being drawn to give it a try. Below is the book that accidentally came my way.

Now this is interesting because I've been reading something similar. The message that keeps coming to me is that anyone can channel and everyone should. Channel to provide information for yourself that you can trust.

My story with the chanelling

Thanks Vicky for this thread. And yes it is really interesting to know how it happens.
When I had my first channel it was just after my Reconnection. I was hearing voices who were not mine. I heard someone talking to me and I knew it was a channel from my guides. I have never thought it would happen to me but it did.
One day I had a past life regression just few days after my reconnection. I was meditating and I was intrigued by a man who came in my life abruptly and I was telepathically hearing him and feeling his pains. I was feeling his energy and all his thoughts were coming on me and it was very painful for me. I knew his name and that day I asked my guides through a meditative state and had two crystal quartz in my hands. I saw images like a film I saw myself dead and he was beside me crying. I saw my body and they told me that's you. It was in a past life. I asked one more question and the information came instantly like a movie: I was with him and we were married, we had 3 beautiful girls who were playing with him in a very immense golden field. While they were playing I was on a rocking chair and I had the info that I was very sick. I was only enjoying seeing them playing together but could not join them. They told I was meant to die because of that sickness, and they showed me beautiful moments we had together even diner times with our three girls.
Anyway.
It was my first real past life regression and it happened to me while I was all alone in my appartement and I fell down and cried so much. It was that pain I felt when I saw him in this incarnation, because I did not want to leave him with 3 girls to raise alone. The next day I went back there and asked my guides to show me how he was after my death. They showed me how he raised them alone, and the moment he died with our three girls around him with their husbands. He was very old. I went to see a woman who channels too and told her about what I saw, and the confirmation from her guides came too. I had to work on it but she told me he was my twin flame and that the 3 girls were the avatars we had during that life.
I now think that he is not my twin flame even if the connection with him is still very strong I know when he thinks about me and I even have images of his thoughts and so on; I know when he misses me etc and he comes very often in my dreams and OBE's.
We talk and we are friends but I don't see him outside the Gym club.
He is always very happy to help me whenever I ask for.
One day after that channel with that woman, I have been "abducted" energetically during a professional appointment and I was surrounded by beings wearing togas with Crystals and jewelry around their crowns. I talked about it in my first article about my astral projections. I was with these beings and they were very happy to see me, the have a very solennel way to talk and behave. When back in my physical body I knew they were my guides. It was the only time I saw them on physical not like an energy or a frequency. They were really like human beings but bit different.
Since that day I begun to channel their messages. I wanted to see them again but they told me that my physical body cannot do it as actually when they teleported me in their very high dimension (8th /13th dimensions) I was nearly sleeping on my chair as I could no more keep my eyes open, and even move my physical body. So as you can see they came to me and not the other way and that changes everything because they came for personal help and guidance and I really wish to see the again one day. I have over 3 years of day to day guidance and support with their messages. I used to channel 2 and even 3 times a day. And they are always here to help me and talk to me. I even feel their presence and it is really magical. When I channel it comes like an uploaded or attached file, there is no erasures, nothing to adjust in the sentences and words. It is already there for me. They can even wait if I ask them for when I get busy and ask them to come back later. The message is channeled whenever I can it is there and stays there for me, waiting to be uploaded.
The messages are all around my spiritual awakening and ascension. They give me the tools to achieve what I need to achieve in the moment and they are not very interested in giving visions of the future. They always are there to help me be in the moment. About the future they sometimes warn me to do things I failed in in the past and tell me that it is part of my awakening and learning.

It was magical and they always used to tell me "You are the traveller of the universes". That is me for real. They know me much more than I know myself. Now I can channel in their galactic language with an automatic translation, in French and in English they know I am multilingual.
Many of my channels are very personal as they are meant to guide me and support me, that's why those ones I never edited them. Some others are like the weather information giving info about the energies coming on us, the importance to love and to be in the moment, the importance to love oneself and to have self trust. About the Earth too and the way we can heal ourselves.

Henda, thank you so much for sharing your channeling story. How wonderful for you that you have the support of your guides to answer your questions and help you along. That's so interesting that you are given a kind of packet and then you download it when you are ready. Do you need to be in an alpha state or any other kind of altered state when you download the information?

It was a message from Archangel Gabriel, a part of it. I asked him/her to come and help me. And he came. Well I don't know in what state I am when I receive the channel, I did not do any research about the different states. But I know I am in a different state : I feel warmth and healing coming through the message, I can hear them very clearly and sometimes I hear their voices. I see their energy around me it is very subtle, they move around me and that is why i feel that warm healing energy. I am completely inn I mean physically present and energetically too. I am in between dimensions and I feel ease and relaxed. I don't need to wait for a channel it comes by itself and I write it. I feel a very subtle vibration in my right hand and it is very intense then while the message comes. I am completely with it. but can be with my daughter or son. That is not a problem for channelling I only ask them not to talk to me at the same time because it is very disturbing. But I am rarely in trance. Those who are in their galactic language are much more vibrating and of another frequency, I find it much higher because it is like sanskrit, and when I get the translation it is very long and tiring as I channel so much energy and need to attune myself to it. So I always ask for the translation for the next day, or next hours. It is much more convenient on an energetic level.

I mainly receive info through clairvoyance & claorcognizance with a little of the others thrown in, I have also been helping guide others to learn for about a year now, the one thing I have found is that though there are many who want to be able to do it they don't end up putting in the time & practice in order to achieve it. To give you an example when I first began practicing I would literally spend full time on it like a 9-5 job & then put in after time as well, By doing it so frequently I began to notice my development excel at a faster rate, altogether it was probably about 3 months till I could differentiate between ego & spirit information, I think people are worried a lot about getting it wrong but what they don't realise is that it's good to get things wrong in order to learn heck even I still get things wrong but that's just part of the deal.

To answer these questions I would say that I was able to discover this by practicing because I knew we all are capable of it & part of my life purpose was to do it, by practicing I participated in psychic development practice posts in Facebook groups & with guidance from my guides I started to give psychic readings to literally hundreds of people, it's changed my life drastically to the point where I will now say to people that "there is a difference between believing & knowing, I don't just believe that the afterlife exists, I know it does" (in regards to the evidence I have received from doing mediumship readings)

Rebecca, thank you for your post and information. I sure understand what you mean by saying if you don't put in the practice it's not going to happen. I have been trying but not enough. I keep making excuses by saying I need to do something else that's 3D related. However, some say they didn't have to try and the information just came to them. Rebecca when you first started did you meditate with intent to channel as your practice method? That seems to be what I keep reading as the method to start. Any tips you want to give would be very appreciated.

When I first started it was because I had been asking questions to my guides, I first off was struggling with the belief that they were real so I asked for proof, one day I was sitting at my laptop & I knew that spirits could "play" with technology so I asked them if you are here right now then prove it by doing something to my laptop, so I sat there waiting for a few minutes thinking to myself ok if nothing happens then I'm not going to bother with this stuff anymore, I began to read an article I had open & as I was reading it & got to the bottom of the page the page then began to scroll on its own, I thought ok that's a fluke & I kept reading, anyway it continued to happen at least 8 times & kind of freaked me out, after that I began to meditate regularly & met my guides, I gave them a symbol to use for communicating with me & that started me off by listening to their guidance, the rest is history. So first off if you feel the need then ask for proof, they will find a way to get your attention, also choose a symbol that only you & them know about then take notice of your thoughts & what you are doing at the time when the symbol shows up, the last tip would be to begin meditating regularly & when your guides feel you are ready they will show up, don't worry if they take a while though, my friend waited 2 years of meditating before meeting his guides

The term channeling has gained a negative co-notation because often times it suggests possession, which is risky. Some people say that when you are receiving telepathic messages, it is not channeling, it is just psyonic communication.

It is really funny when you are "channeling" another aspect of yourself.

I will have to put this in a nutshell, because I am going through a bit of a recalibration right now and putting it into extreme summary is all I can do at the mo... so:

Raised Methodist, father was a lay minister, Sunday school teacher, Bible scholar, and devout pragmatist/realist (no woo woo but he had some definitely otherworldly experiences). So that was a foundation, as I was very into being a Christian in my youth.

Left the church and found my way to yoga meditation (Kashmir Shaivite), had an intense several years of healing, awakening, expanding, purification. Simultaneously, was studying metaphysical healing, massage therapy, healing touch, holistic counseling, etc etc (and Reconnection was one of them... Henda is so right in her praise of that particular mode of healing!). Was using a pendulum for dowsing, mostly to measure chakras and get yes/no answers to questions. When the pendulum started swinging on its own in a new direction, I had the idea to use an alphabet array for communication, and that started opening up a whole new level of healing and awareness. So glad I had the meditation as a backbone to this experience, and the deep healings I was experiencing through holistic therapy work, and the past devotion to divinity and love to pull me through the integrations of shadow and the experience of traversing the astral level. Had lots of visits and interactions with angels, ascended beings, dead people, deities, and eventually, once I popped my head through the top of the astral membrane (that's what it felt like), Pleiadians. They knew me and recognized me and started long conversations. It was very healing, and one day I'd like to share some of those journals...

I learned so much from the experience of listening and fine-tuning, recognizing "pirates" and posers who would pull me off-track, demons, tricksters... all forms of Nemesis who taught me purity of intent and fearlessness. Thank you to them, kindly, for their lessons. However, the Pleiadians of the League of Light, from Temmer, have not wavered in their love and support and guidance and encouragement, and the feelings, the knowledge of their love and devotion to me are really quite tangible, overwhelming sometimes. Since going with this path full-time (through a convoluted series of life events, none of them easy, most of them difficult, some harrowing), I have but to trust.

My connection seems to be sort of with myself in the future, but this is different from talking with my higher self. When I was going through the fast learning curve of inter dimensional communication, I went through a lot of higher-self replacements, and some other experiences you might call walk-in or braids or whatever, I'm not versed in the technicalities of the terms. I basically had death/rebirth things happening, when I really left my body and a bigger aspect of self came in. It really would feel like my body was too small for the new aspect! Had to get used to working the hands and words and all... After a few of those, I seem to be having less dramatic upgrades these days. But who knows what tomorrow brings.

Regarding the writing, whether it's a global message or a private reading or a book, the words come in from start to finish with no editing afterward. Even the big books... I'll get the title, table of contents, introduction, chapter one, etc all the way to the last word and the back cover copy, just straight on through with no editing. As if a future version of me is reading back to this me what I wrote in the future and am publishing now... if that makes sense. That process is explained in the introduction of Opalescence.

So now, I'm working with my future self, Anica, and a past aspect, Joegil, and somehow all three of us are coming together but that's a work in progress at the moment. With Anica, who acts as a liaison between the League of Light Pleiadians and other galactic groups and races, I am receiving a new kind of communication where she is connecting with another group and I am receiving their message for the world. I'm not sure where this is leading, but it's got an exciting undercurrent to it, and feels very immediate and "Star Trek"-y. At this point, I'm so tired and ready for the world to change... Let's make this happen! Anything I can offer to facilitate that is a step closer to relaxing from the drama, right? We all have something to offer in that regard, I am sure, and the energy field is shifting in such a way that we'll all have clearer access soon, increasingly so.

I'm stunned with your story. You have so much metaphysical experience and training. I definitely will listen to the interview with Maarten Horst.

Your communications started with a pendulum - that must have been tedious at first. After you started getting communication using a pendulum how did that develop into channeling? When you channel are you in an altered state? Is the communication in words that you hear in your mind or symbols?

Thank you so much for sharing your story. I'm sure we would all love to read some of your journals when you have the time to post them.

Maryann , since you don't like the term channel, I can offer a couple of alternatives. The-one-that-binds seems to be very much in line with the recent Anica's activities. Or maybe just the Spokeswoman of the People of Temmer

Oh it was such slow going with the pendulum, but necessary for the foundation of the process, I suppose. I still use the concept of the pendulum sometimes, but without a pendulum (just my hand moving as if I was holding one) and an imaginary array of letters. I've spent so many years using the written array that it just is burned into my mind I use such a thing now if I'm trying to spell something new that I'm really unfamiliar with, like the name of a Pleiadian, or such, or to get yes/no answers, or a number, or a percentage, etc. Actually, I don't even have a pendulum right now. So many of them broke or found new homes over the years. I can use pretty much anything as a pendulum, in a pinch... like a strand of hair and a paperclip, for instance.

The process went from writing one letter at a time, to getting the first letter of a word and I'd know what the rest of the word was, but I had to check and re-check until I really got what that felt like, to have the correct word. So all that was very tedious, yes! Then there was an upgrade to feeling the words and phrases coming through the writing, relaxing into the handwriting and watching it take shape, keeping my feeling aligned with a sort of central thread, keeping the bead. Then I tried going on the computer and typing, and worked on allowing that to happen through my arms/hands. I basically sit back and hold the connection. Usually I'm aware of what I'm writing, as if I'm reading it, but sometimes I zap and then re-read a bit of what just came through and go "Huh, that's interesting!".

When I do a voice transmission, I'm not in trance. I'm aware of what's being said and how it sounds. I have no idea why, when the Temmerians come through (Asket, Anica), they speak in a sort of Irish accent.

The feeling I have when I connect is like moving into a magnetic line. When I'm in that feeling of magnetic connection, it's very pure and goes directly to the source. I have to say, it seems very clear to me that the best way of establishing such a connection would be through healing, integration, meditation... which for me included chanting mantra. I still hear/feel "OM Namah Shivaya" when I prepare for settling into the connection.

I'm posting a picture of the very first alphabet chart I made, back in 2001 or thereabouts. I can't remember exactly when, maybe a bit earlier than that. I literally just grabbed a piece of paper and laid this out. Over time I refined it so that E and T are opposite each other, perpendicular to MN, and A and Z go down just a bit below the horizontal they're on now. So it shifted, but that gives me a very good anchor especially as I don't use a paper version of the array any longer. When I draw them now, I start with MN at the top center, then put E and T in place, leaving room below them, then fill in the other letters in equal spacing.

I can also use the pendulum array in "cursive", where the pendulum swings here and there pointing to certain letters and I get the words filled in in my head. Very helpful in situations where I can't just sit and write, type, or settle into a voice transmission (like on the bus or even walking down the road... it's a very portable system!).

I have never used pendulum. I am always sure of what I hear and all I need is to keep the connection when it comes. I never also had any doubt about it, I use my heart not my brain. I feel the energy in the heart and it is warm and easing.

This is exactly the kind of information I'm interested in learning.

Personally, I've always felt quite drawn to Asket's Irish accent...in fact, I'm very drawn to the Irish and Scots cultures for some reason. I'm certain it must be a "past" life. I find the countryside, the weather, the music--everything to appeal to me in a very profound way. I've never been there myself, but I do have both places in my bloodlines, so that could be part of it too.

Maryann thank you for taking the time to throughly explain how you receive your information. The pendulum interests me. I own one and I used to use it for yes/no questions but I didn't trust the answers I was getting. I may try a version of your alphabet chart. Every channeler is so different in the way they receive their information. I guess one should experiment until they find what feels right.
