My Favorite Quotes About Life

Favorite Quotes Of Mine

People say some very insightful things, whether it’s within fiction or based on fact when trying to explain something. Not too long ago I put together a collection of some of my favorite quotes, and here they are below, all 41 of them.

While I don’t sit there and read through thousands of quotes each day, these are just a few I have had stand out over the past few years which I have made a point of saving and referring to on occasion.

It’s commonplace to grow and change, so overtime I’m sure this list will change as I come to reflect back on what someone has said, and interpret it differently.

Life experience can help us understand what someone was trying to say, but that life may not be limited to this one right now, especially when the membrane between higher frequencies is thinning during this shift in consciousness.

Well, here they all are!

Feel free to share your favorite quotes within the comments.

“We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time.”
— T. S. Eliot

“If you want to awaken all of humanity, then awaken yourself. If you want to eliminate all the suffering in the world, then eliminate all that is dark and negative in yourself. Truly, the greatest gift you have to give is that of your own self-transformation.” — Lao Tzu

“Between every two pines is a doorway to a new world.”
— John Muir

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
— Marianne Williamson

“Do whatever you do intensely. The artist is the man who leaves the crowd and goes pioneering. With him there is an idea which is his life.”
― Robert Henri, The Art Spirit

“Throughout life, we will find ourselves in situations where our belief systems are strongly challenged. Confrontational situations sometimes force us to re-examine whether our belief’s need to be modified or updated in order to accommodate new information and new experiences. In reality, it is the energy of the soul and the actions of the higher self that place us in difficult situations in order to stimulate our spiritual growth and development.”…“As we learn to embrace new ideas and experiences with greater openness and awareness, without preconceptions, the resulting shift in consciousness can eventually lead to a clearing and opening-up of energy flow through the sixth or third-eye chakra.”
— Richard Gerber, M.D, A Practical Guide To Vibrational Medicine

“Never trust a species that grins all the time. It’s up to something.”
― Terry Pratchett

“He is at home with his solitude as the note reverberating inside a bell.”
― Peter Heller

“You are the producer, director, actor and writer of your own drama. And because the script is being written as the play proceeds, it can be rewritten at any time. You have complete control of what happens in your life once you realize this.”
— Dolores Cannon, Convoluted Universe Book IV

“Enlightenment is a destructive process. It has nothing to do with becoming better or being happier. Enlightenment is the crumbling away of untruth. It’s seeing through the facade of pretence. It’s the complete eradication of everything we imagined to be true.”
— Adyashanti

“Memories aren’t stored in the heart or the head or even the soul, if you ask me, but in the spaces between any given two people.”
― Jodi Picoult

“It is the darkness that makes the light visible, and not the other way around.”

“We all have some experience of a feeling, that comes over us occasionally, of what we are saying and doing having been said and done before, in a remote time—of our having been surrounded, dim ages ago, by the same faces, objects, and circumstances.”
~ Charles Dickens

“It’s so hard to forget pain, but it’s even harder to remember sweetness. We have no scar to show for happiness. We learn so little from peace.”
― Chuck Palahniuk, Diary

“I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination. Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.”
― Albert Einstein

“When you take complete responsibility for your thoughts and actions and embrace your natural ability to create your reality, all things are possible.”
— William Buhlman, Adventures in the Afterlife

“Each human being has an innate need to connect with the divine creative energy of God, whether or not that connection is of a conscious or unconscious nature.” … “There is a part of us, our divine essence if you will, that at times seeks to be reunited with the energy of the creator. When we block that divine urge, we also block the natural flow of subtle energy through the crown chakra.”
~ Richard Gerber, M.D.

“Very few beings really seek knowledge in this world—few really ask. On the contrary, they try to wring from the unknown the answers they have already shaped in their own minds—justifications, confirmations, forms of consolation without which they can’t go on. To really ask is to open the door to a whirlwind. The answer may annihilate the question and the questioner.”
~ Anne Rice

“The human experience, except for occasional pockets of enlightenment, is diminished in dignity. People in countless numbers are lost within the very fabric of their lives. Whether financially, politically or socially persecuted, millions and millions of people’s lives have been reduced to little or no value because of the economic scale upon which we measure the worth of life.”
— Caroline Myss

“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.”

“Like the lotus flower that is born out of mud, we must honor the darkest parts of ourselves and the most painful of our life’s experiences, because they are what allow us to birth our most beautiful self.”

— Dr. Leo Rebello

“I wish I could show you, when you are lonely or in darkness, the astonishing light of your own being.”
― Hafiz of Shiraz

“We have to create; it is the only thing louder than destruction. And most things outside of creation are, in fact, a destruction. A crumbling of sorts; of souls, and minds, and things alike. Some say the pen is mightier, I say it is speaker, and poet, and screamer. I say it is louder.”
— Andrea Gibson

“Henceforth I ask not good-fortune, I myself am good-fortune. Henceforth I whimper no more, postpone no more, need nothing. From this hour I ordain myself loos’d of limits and imaginary lines.” — Walt Whitman

“Sometimes people hold a core belief that is very strong. When they are presented with evidence that works against that belief, the new evidence cannot be accepted. It would create a feeling that is extremely uncomfortable, called cognitive dissonance. “Acceptance of the unacceptable is the greatest source of Grace in this world!” E.T.

Repeating the same pattern/mistake over and over again while expecting different results is my favourite definition of insanity.
I think that one is attributable to Einstein?
